I don't want to come off as too rude, but why would one do a thread of 'The interview is up?' when, er, it's not? Youtube processing can take hours (especially if the video is long), and there is always a chance of the file getting corrupted when one is trying to upload it and one having to start all over with the upload. I mean, my internet connection is usually pretty awesome, but I usually still end up giving youtube an hour or two if I want to upload something that isn't basically a music video.

Yeah it seems YT automatically tagged it as violating a copyright or something. Maybe it was one of the tracks it uses? Haven't seen/heard it, but about to. Thanks, Capone.

Could anyone summarise the interview?
Also, the thread title is What was cut from DA:I, but the vid is DA:O, is that because it's only part 1? I'm guessing part 2 will be DA2 and part 3 will be DA:I?

There were a couple of interesting notes there, but a lot of it was kinda wishy-washy. Probably could have cut it down from 50 minutes to about 10 and still had about the same amount of real meat about the games themselves. Some of his notes about who he thought or didn't think would be popular were kind of interesting, though.

It takes the 40 minutes to find the real gold of those 10 minutes.
Most of the highlights really come from him just talking about what it was like to write for these characters.
If you just want a fact sheet that's not what I do. I love these games and I want to capture what makes them great- the people, their story, that makes them great

Really interesting interview that gave some context on the original and their approach for it. I am really looking forward to the discussions on DA2 and DAI.

S'all good. Sorry if I came across as I was jumping on your case. The interview was good, more my disappointment is that I didn't really get to hear or learn much new from the answers, but it's not like you were the one who gave those answers. I am more of a "meat" person (and honestly, prefer reading articles and such to webcasts in the first place because I am all too aware of what advantages and disadvantages the respective mediums bring), but it was not my intention to come off as unappreciative of your efforts, so my bad for being gripey and grumbly.

The audio is very clear here, I'm understanding everything without the need for the subtitles - thank you very much for that. (Too bad I've already read his interviews and tumblr, so most of this stuff is familiar - still, great).

I really enjoyed listening to this interview ["finally"] and despite having heard some aspects of this info before, Mr. Gaider still offered many new insights into the franchise that we have all come to know and love.
Thanks for sharing the video!

Thank you for this. David wrote 5/7 of my most favorite characters in the franchise ( Shale, Alistair, Morrigan, Zev and Dorian was his) Blackwall and Sten being the odd ones out. I think Sheryl wrote Blackwall, I cant remember who wrote Sten.
Mary Kirby wrote Sten.
