Don't mind me just introducing a new Fan Fiction to add on to the Mass Effect Lore; In this spin-off we delve in to the criminal underworld universe that is often mentioned and presented throughout the Trilogy.
In this Fan Fiction [Still a Work in Progress] more light is shone upon the various crime syndicates that operate in the vast Milky Way and the shady leaders and henchmen behind them. The Story takes place in 2182, just a year before the events of the first Mass Effect.
Vigil Tacet, a former criminal now turned Private Investigator is caught up in a major conspiracy when he uncovers a dark layer beneath the Citadel legal system; an old crime syndicate known as the Kithoi Crime Family is still fully operational after the long and devastating fight that left them for dead a decade before. Determined to bury the crime syndicate for good, Tacet is engaged in a wild chase that will lead him around Council space and even in the lawless Terminus systems. Still picked on by the Spectres and C-Sec for his former knowledge about the Milky Way's notorious criminal networks. Tacet will also have to tie up his loose ends with the Law that watches his every move. It's a race against time to see if Tacet has the ability to beat the Spectres to the punch In his ambitious attempt to shut down the most feared crime syndicate the Galaxy has ever known
