So I'm going to and none of you can stop me! Also, what is a good build for the Cabal? Never gotten the hang of her. I assume hosting would be preferred.

depends on what you want to do with her really. melee, tanky soldier build, poison strike spam build, things like that.

Something like that is generally what I run. Spam Biotic Focus, especially when heavy damage is coming in. Use Poison strike to escape, reposition, etc. It will paralyze unprotected enemies if it doesn't kill them for easy headshots. Poison strike takes some getting use to though before you get the hang of it, damage area is slightly just in front of the character about a meter. Spam blades into groups or shoot and launch blades at annoying **** like phantoms and dragoons. Most of your damage is in blades and headshots with her though, biotic focus makes her a tank and poison strike makes her impossible to pin down for enemies.

Never really liked the Cabal with a no PS build, she just feels like a weak version of the BatSol that way.

PS is a bit unpredictable though, especially with the range evolution, can end up in very dangerous places if your not carefull.

Generally they're never worse than the situation I'm trying to get out of.

The first dash takes you out of reach of a sync kill enemy, the second takes you into the arms of a sync kill enemy. Or that's how it always worked for me

 

Curiously, the second line quoted is not there in your post itself, at least to me.

if you want to do some stupid, trolly nonsense tactics dash through an enemy you're close to, dodge backwards then dash again.

There's plenty of linked builds so I'm gonna leave a small tip here: I always take exploding blades for soft cc on the last rank of nightshade blades. Also, I like taking +1 capacity instead of damage because I usually have geth scanner so I can make real good use of poison strike's escaping capabilities. 3 is usually enough and as long as you use it for emergency purposes you won't run out of thermal packs either.

I only really fell in love with her after I finally accepted that PS is the most frustrating off-host power in the whole game, and skipped it completely.  I hate doing that, but going full melee with her is genuinely fun and still pretty effective.  She's ultimately a lightning fast weapons platform and/or melee tank, with grenades and a teleport dodge - flexibilty and reach - what's not to like?

Cabal makes a great heavy & light melee kit.

Poison Strike is really quite nice. It does as much damage against all types as incinerate does vs armor, and it can hit twice as often. The only real trick is that it's meant to be used in their face; if you use it from far away, it will bring you right into sync kill range, but if you use it up close it will damage them and remove you from the danger zone.

Don't take the shield boost evo on Focus. The invulnerability window is useless(as poison strike is better in every way in almost every circumstance) and the shields regened are only really useful against DoTs. Done properly, speed+DR will make you more survivable, make you kill faster, and in general make you a more efficient killing machine.

By the way, how would you guys spec Cabal if going for a Harrier 1 weapon platform? Epeen means no all 66666 builds.
