Hi All,

I am just trying to put together a CREDIT list for all those that have helped me put this module together in one way or another. Sadly, I lost my original list some time back when I changed a HD over. It was a simple text file that was not backed up.

Anyway, I know that *many* people have helped me over the years, some more than others, and I would like to pay tribute to those that have helped me in the credits of my module. I am hoping the final list will appear in the manual, and may appear in a movie if I get that far.

Please, if you have helped with this project (in whatever way you believe should be credited), then please add a comment and remind me what it was you did. Also, provide me with your Bioware Forum "name" .... and (if you want to be credited this way too) your real name.

E.g. E.E. might say "I provided two areas", etc.

BETA TESTING

Also, let me know if you want to be a candidate for BETA testing. I am looking for around four to six BETA testers. (Let me know if you are testing SP or MP.)

Ideally, BETA testers would:

A) Have contributed towards the module, but this is not essential.

B ) Have a computer app that can video their gameplay, which can then be uploaded as an aid towards feedback for me. (Not essential, just preferred.)

C) Be able to effectively communicate issues discovered in a logical and precise manner. (Effective communication.)

D) Have good attention to detail to spot such things as spelling errors, as well as poorly aligned objects, etc.

E) If possible, have at least TWO players who can play test a multi-player environment. (I know this is unlikely to be the case, but if somebody does meet this, and wants to test MP, then that would be great!)

NOTE: This module, "The Scroll" has many alterations from the original campaign, and cannot have other mod packs added when it is being tested, as these would break the game. Therefore, players would have to recognise that their override folder must be empty and the game correctly setup before play can begin. Therefore, a degree of basic mod knowledge is required of the tester and is preferred.

Many Thanks,
Lance.

Hi KevL,

You are too kind. :)

I will certainly add that as well to cover any that I miss.

However, I was hoping to give credit where credit is due as well. Yet, as you say, I hope people will know and recognise their own contribution, and so I won't be too overly concerned. This module will be a "thanks" to them anyway.

Now, hopefully, I will get at least one or two people who want to brave the waters and do a BETA test as well.

... but first I need to get some more done! So, back to another area. ;)

Cheers,
Lance.

I provided two areas that are not going to see the light of day I believe but then I did a 3rd one that will be in this.

And I provide a few custom placeables to suit these areas.

And I created project fatty at your behest and it took a year! wow. Anyway he is pretty much done just has a LOD bug of some kind.

Have to upload that final version yet though but it's here.

Hi E.E.

I really hope I do manage to keep going with the next module, but time will tell. I note the other area. (EDIT: It's the one I am currently working on actually.) Thanks. :)

Did you ever manage to resolve the "missing texture" problem I have with the staff? The last note I had from you mentioned that it "had no detail or normal maps" and that you were going to look for the original 3ds file.

Re Fatty, what is a LOD problem?

Thanks,
Lance.

The LOD (level of detail) problem means all three mesh versions seem to be in game at once, giving him motion- limbs when he moves. Sounds neat but its not right.

As for the staff good question where the heck is that. Should be a sinch to fix if I have it here somewhere.

I'd be happy to test (secretly wants to steal the close-to first person idea). But seriously;

A) Have contributed towards the module, but this is not essential.
I haven't but wouldn't it be better to have a QA who hasn't seen the module before?

B ) Have a computer app that can video their gameplay, which can then be uploaded as an aid towards feedback for me. (Not essential, just preferred.)
I record videos on a daily basis!

C) Be able to effectively communicate issues discovered in a logical and precise manner. (Effective communication.)
Part of my project, I write down every bug, how it occurs and what's it's outcome.

D) Have good attention to detail to spot such things as spelling errors, as well as poorly aligned objects, etc.
I have a great attention to detail :P Anything out of place always bugs me so I'll notice it precisely.

E) If possible, have at least TWO players who can play test a multi-player environment. (I know this is unlikely to be the case, but if somebody does meet this, and wants to test MP, then that would be great!)

My projects team is around 5 people, so it wouldn't be a problem grabbing a few people for a few mins/hrs.

Hi K Kin,

Thanks for offering to Beta Test. :)

Your MP feedback would be most welcome if you do manage to get some done .... I would be happy to have as much as you can do both SP and/or MP.

I will PM you with some details.

You will certainly be one of the first to see how some of this stuff has been used.

Regards,
Lance.
