X-Wing. Tie-Fighter, and X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter. Probably won't happen, though. Since Disney scrapped the old EU in favor of kid's cartoons.
Games that need a reboot, re-master or spiritual successor?

Never played it but always meant to and I think it's oldschool controls and camera will hamper my enjoyment,so I would like a Dino Crisis reboot.

I think the Star Control series could use a reboot; Star Control 3 threw the plot and lore of the series off the rails quite a bit and pretty much killed the series, which is really too bad.
On a somewhat related note (since Star Control is a clear forerunner of Mass Effect), I honestly think that Mass Effect could use a spiritual successor rather than a sequel, prequel, side-quel or whatever other term you want to use. The vanilla ending was clearly designed to put an end to the franchise as we know it, and I think it would have been best to let it rest in peace, but there was always going to be too much money associated with using the Mass Effect name for that to ever happen.

Thief Trilogy. The newest one was pure rubbish and should never be mentioned or associated with the last three games.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. needs a sequel, but it's most likely never gonna happen since the dev company stopped existing. Sure, there is Survarium but it's kinda crap, so...
While many would see it as unnecessary, I'd enjoy seeing a remaster for Dark Souls since the port is poor (while fixable with mods it wouldn't hurt to have it closer to DS 2 quality) and everything past Anor Londo is crap' cause they ran low on budget and had to rush it. Never gonna happen, I know. Still, one can dream.
Max Payne 1 could also use a remaster, or even a reboot. Legacy of Kain too.
Would be nice to see sequels to Bully and RDR, especially the latter.

Shenmue and Eternal Darkness comes to mind.
Lol. Looks like someone will be a happy camper today.
Also, BioWare or CDPR making a cinematic Arcanum sequel? Pls no. The strength of Arcanum wasn't in it's story or character interactions, it was in the wide range of roleplaying concepts from cliche'd magical elves to an sex starved half orcish luddite whose self loathing for his hybrid status is portrayed through racism. This was all accomplished by the game through a myriad of RPG mechanics and very open quest design. Both things that BioWare and CDPR are not very good at.

I think it would be cool to get a remastered American McGee's Alice. The first game of the American McGee Alice titles. Both are so good. With Returns my favorite. But seeing as McGee's Alice is 15 years old now. I think it could do with a little bit of touch up to the visuals. And probably some gameplay elements as well. While I still love it, it had some issues. Jump puzzles come to mind.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
It would be a great series for Bioware, if they didn't already have a fantasy series with Dragon Age. It was a party based RPG and it was one of the earliest to include romance subplots with companion characters.
NO NO NO NO NO PLEASE NO. Bioware's player character development system, stat and reactivity is too shallow for arcanum. I am not sure of a company that could handle it. Maybe obsidian but that pillars plot bruh, was kind of hibernation.
Also bethesda????? Hell no. Neo-bethesda especially not. The core of arcanum is through it's detailed character development system and the way it interacts through elements in the game world.
Here is how bioware would handle it.
Quest: Find out information about loot through the corpse of the dead pirate.
1) Troika = Endless possilibites you could tackle this. I would personally resurrect his spirit using necromancy and initiate dialogue.
2) Bioware = Find an item around the area or an item that allows you to resurrect the pirate(even though you have 25 skill points in necromancy and you are a literal necromancy god)
3)Bethesda = The possibilities are endless.
What is the difference between the Troika and Bethesda approach? The Trioka version rewards you for specialization into a certain area with contextual rewards and interaction. Bethesda does not really give a **** about reactivity these days(Radiant system was so ****) so the mission will continue without making you feel special in any type of way.
Sorry I do not mean to be a dick but Arcanum and VTMB are titles that should be handled with complete care.
In Arcanum's case.

maahhzzaahh treee! I want to play a modern day earthbound. Earthbound was such a kind and lighthearted game that took on the turmoil of the time with whimsical, child-like spirit.
I want Itoi to look at todays world and make another earthbound based on that. I want to see Earthbound's charm overcome the darkness of our times again like it did back in the 90s.
Earthbound dealt with a bunch of heavy topics at the time, from cults, child abuse to police brutality. And despite it all, it reached the end and had not just the character but the player come out a better person in the end. I want that so much in a game. Im so tired of the cynicism and edgy darkness thats in gaming today. I WANT TO SEE GOOD STOMPING ON TRUE, MORBIDLY REAL EVIL!

Someone needs to make a neat, remastered package of the Metal Slug games on the PC. I seriously have no idea how Contra's sillier, faster younger brother isn't as popular.
Also, Blizzard, anytime you're planning to rerelease the original Warcrafts like you said you would 2 years ago?
