Star Wars: Jedi knight series. Sequel, reboot, remake, ANYTHING!!! JUST BRING IT BACK!

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura- A real gem of an rpg, where your race/gender/alignment/stats actually have a consequence and effect

Temple of Elemental Evil- With updated graphics and system this one could be pretty amazing

Wizardry series (6/7/8 in particular)- Wouldn't mind a modern update to this series, and the online/recent one really doesn't count in comparison to the past games imo

Jade Empire- Even a reboot or spiritual successor just...something. I'd hate to see it go to a one-time only deal

Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion- A Skyrim'd non-mod official Bethesda version of these games would be amazing

The Sims 2- Series hasn't been the same since... 

Titan Quest- Love the concept. Admittedly not easy to get into but I wouldn't mind an updated or even a console version 

Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader- Amazing concept, the beginning of the game was pretty fantastic, just sad the rest of it was thrown down the drain

Realms of Arkania deserves a spiritual successor. It had horrible HD Remake that turned people off the originals. Deserved better. Would love to see a spiritual successor that focused on more open quest design and stronger dialog/story content, even if it had to scale it down a bit to compensate (no dumbing down mechanics though).

I like to waffle about Darklands but that gets enough hipster cred. Whereas I feel that RoA are amongst the purest RPG adventure simulators out there without getting enough credit for it.

Champions of Norrath - The EverQuest franchise needs a comeback and I'm not sure EQN will do it.

 

I guess the theme of this post is Square-Enix needs to start using its old Squaresoft IPs. Give it a rest with the J-Rock Final Fantasy crap for awhile.

GTA: San Andreas mod/remake with GTA V engine.

 

The last time I wanted to play SA, it looked very bad.

Some old games still look good, like Jedi Knight II and KOTOR. But GTA:SA doesn't.

I think the Rogue Squadron series needs a reboot/re-make.  Awesome fun and looked great on the N64 & Gamecube, could look amazing now.

Indeed. I was going to post that. There's a few self evident IMO. The huge problem is if the sequels really will get the right kind of love from their developers? I mean, we've seen what has happened to Sim City, for instance (- bloody idiots!). But:

 

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

Sim City 5    (a genuine one, single player, big cities, long time periods, non-online)

Morrowind 2 

Spore re-imagined     (This time make the game everybody expected, instead of the children&casual that EA's marketing demanded.)

Grand Prix Legends 2

Master of Origin 2 : 2

Wing Commander VI

Overlord 2     (as remastered of the1994, historical WW2 flightsim)

Sonic the Hedgehog needs to sit on the bench for a few years.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 most definitely need reboots. Raziel is a f*****g boss, way more than Kain. Also toss in Legacy of Kain: Defiance, since it concludes the story of Raziel.

 

Since there is a Gears of War 1 remaster being made, I would love to see a Gears of War 2 remaster. In spite of it being my personal favorite game in the series, Gears 2 was riddled with bugs, glitches, and was an overall mess at launch. The matchmaking was slow to put people in games (if it did at all), it had ridiculously broken mechanics (smoke grenades knocking people out of map boundaries), and it was just rough for a good while before patches came in, which soured people's views on it. A proper re-release would do it wonders, especially if they render it in Unreal 4 like the Gears 1 remake is, with 60 FPS and 1080p resolution. Add in the omnidirectional evade from Gears 3 and toss in some new character skins from Gears 3/Judgment/4, and it would be my dream game.

Spryo 1-3 (Insomniac is remaking Ratchet & Clank so why not save Spyro as well from his horrible disfigurement by third party developers and get Tom Kane back to voice him)
