Yeah, I just saw that, looks good.
Haha I was literally clapping my hands at my tv screen.
It's the shape of things to come.
Good, I won't have to keep hooking up my 360 every time I want to play a 360 game.
Are you serious? I can dust off my xbox 360 collection and play them?! First game I'm playing is Mass Effect!
Does this mean all 360 games will be playable on one? I have not been following this story, if so, great news.

As far as I could tell, it only works after downloading some sort of patch specific to each game.

Starting this holiday season, there will be hundreds of games available and more will be added periodically.
To play them, you put your disc in the Xbox One, download the game, and then you are able to play it on Xbox One.

At the moment, there will be 100 games playable on the One. They haven't released a list yet, AFAIK.
Is this the same game from 2007? Or are there improvements?

It's not Remastered, but it will look and run better due to the improved hardware on the Xbox One.
Just like how despite not getting an Anniversary upgrade, Halo 3 and Halo 4 still look and run better in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
The thread title is really misleading.
Or you were mislead by your own interpretation of the title or your own expectations of what it entails.
It's plain and simple. You will be able to play ME1 on Xbox One.

**** hopefully Sony will announce backwards compability too

I'm just glad I can play Mass Effect without having to switch back to my 360. Which is really the main reason I wanted a Remastered edition to begin with. Sure, better graphics, resolution and frame rate would be nice....but it's not something I need when the next game in the franchise is fast approaching completion.

It's actually a bunch of them, the only one specifically mentioned was Mass Effect.
This is great news but i still rather they give us a remastered version.

Sony has a tougher task, the PS3 has a completely different architecture than the PS4.
This is great news but i still rather they give us a remastered version.
I still think there could be a chance that a remastered version could be announced at EA's press conference. Even though I'll play the trilogy with backwards compatability, I'd love to play a remastered version.

From what I got from the press conference is that the developer doesn't have to do anything aside from giving Microsoft the okay to have the game available on the XB1.
