4A on Drell Adept and BatAdept, 4B on Drellguard and Vorcha.
4B if the character has high power damage, otherwise it's 4A for pure damage. Its range is already good enough without 4B, but adding in more range would still benefit. Quarian Arc 'Nades are OP in range with a default range of 8 meters. ![]()
Played yesterday the Drell Adept with Harrier 1 because I was thinking of Deerber. And that's when it occurred to me that maybe 4b radius is in order? What with them bouncing and wabbling all over the place but not in enemy mouths.
Damage, always. My Cluster Grenades always go precisely where I want them to, so I have no need for extra radius.
What's that? Oh yes, I did intend for one of those grenades to go bouncing off the map, one of them to deflect back at me, and only one of them to actually hit the enemy. That is exactly what I wanted to happen.
^ I'd say area reave with radius cluster should work excellent. As higher chances of 3 biotic explosion VS only 2 or 1 is much more dps in the end anyway.
I take radius on everything but the Drelldept, basically. Because of the multiple BEs unicorn.
Radius, because I spec for U/U and on bigger maps it helps a lot. Clusters tend to bounce around and when you host, they go all over the place. Off-host they go in a ball and don't spread as much.
The damage difference is only 150 per piece, so it's not that much.

The purpose isn't the damage necessarily that we're going for it's shooting for the multiple concurrent BEs which happen rarely but sometimes. The radius of the detonating power cannot overlap with the radius of the second detonating power for a concurrent explosion to happen or something to that effect.
Personally I have something far more reliable in mind than concurrent explosions of the same type usually.
Depends

I don't use Incendiary Venoms or something like that to get an FE and BE. On the Drelldept I pack a Warp ammo Paladin most of the time.

Was wondering why my cluster nades were wandering all over rio last time !
So that s because i host most of the time now ...
You can't actually go wrong with either choice. Damage in the off chance you hit multiple targets for multiple splosions...Depending on the spread of the throw of the nades..Or Radius..better chance of hitting multiple targets..but still is dependent on the spread of the throw. I use both ...I respec alot ...When I do chuck Luster nades ..I skip them on the ground into the spawn..Like shooting a Falcon at their feet..For me Accuracy / hits per cluster nade increase alot..When I would Over-hand toss directly at them meant way more misses Nades flying around randomly.....Found it was my best way to control the spread ...skip em like a stone on water into the spawn..Helps alot.
I don't understand. Isn't being able to nail more multiple mooks for greater epeen glory better? BSN sure loves to give me mixed signals.
I have tried both, radius generally works better for me. The extra damage is nice, but any mooks that have been hit are dropped quickly with gunfire or a second serving of clusters.
Radius on the drells, cos i kinda spam them more. and have aoe primers in reave, and venom on the drellgod.
Dmg for the brotarian, cos of the single target primer, i tend to use them alot more as a single target destroyer, and usualy throw them point blank into a brutes/scion/crabs etc face, and I want max single target deeperz.

This is one of the most satisfying things in the whole game, IMO...

Yeah, it's what I do with the Batarian too. But it's so OP. Feels like I'm pressing a magical cheat button of some sort everytime.

I thought the OP meant the opposite : chances for more BE's are higher with less radius, since the explosions won't de-prime that often
This is accurate.
Who would dare to not spec for them?
I always go radius because I'm not the best at making them go where I want them to go.
Careful with this stuff, I got a warning point and temp ban yesterday for spam
Well, there go half of tomorrow's Likes
