Looks like this year's E3 was a waste for Mass Effect, sorry fans, this is not the E3 you were looking for. Now we wait another 365 days until we get actual gameplay coverage. So another year full of cryptic twitter details and concept art.

I guess going to the Andromeda provides the best possibilities for new races, places and premises. But it does appear to be a new science fiction IP with the Mass Effect name plastered over it.

I was very excited at first, because it's the first trailer for the game. That excitement is now dying down. I was expecting some game-play. And holiday 2016? Damn.

i agree with this. It does seem like a new IP.
I just think even for a CGI Teaser reveal it kinda blew. Just a bunch of generic looking N7 troops running around. It was all very generic. I don't even like the title all that much. Mass Effect Andromeda doesn't really roll off the tongue. I was almost expecting Mass ____ with the Effect replaced with something else. Or for them to just say screw it and call it Mass Effect 4. But Mass Effect Andromeda kinda makes it sound like a spin off, not the next real step in the franchise. And it doesn't seem like they're playing to make a trilogy out of it, which is one of the things people loved so much about Mass Effect.
The game will probably be really good, but I felt like they could've handled that A LOT better. It's been 3 years since Mass Effect 3. The reveal for ME4 should've blown the lid off the place.

Curiously, people on YT hate on the usage of Johnny Cash.
I can see why some want ME to have zero link to anything of the humanity we "know", yet personally I love it. Also it's just a trailer. Also space + country reminds me of Firefly - That is never bad, and if that was what inspired the developers, then watch me trying to squeeze my wallet through my speakers.
So this is what vindication feels like.
Cash's western-style music captures the frontier vibe for me personally. It won't be in the game, but it's perfect for trailer music.
I hope we will get music like this when we drive the mako around. like the radio in gta
