Krogan on the right. Loved the trailer, dissapointed a bit because I wanted more ME stuff.
That or Bioware wont listen to feedback and criticism. They've done that a few times.
If Andromeda suffers from the same problems as DA:I, they certainly won't have an excuse.
No, this was the only way to go about it.
What you mean after ME3 swept across the setting like a plague locusts wrecking the settings get so badly exile from an entire freaking galaxy wax the only option?
Precisely.
Precisely.
Hopefully give up? Get fully consumed into the EA amorphous mass?So what are they gonna do when/if they frak up again? We gona run away again?

They will bring Shepard back.
I would not be surprised if they did bring Shepard back, the game would do well
Whine whine whine Iakus
So it DOES take place in the Andromeda galaxy.. But the trailer has brought up MANY questions for me... Hopefully we can get some answers at E3. No gameplay? Fine. I want some information about the story, character...
wait until november
Most of you can't imagine that they are exploring and conquering...can't you?
Doesn't feel like the ME I fell in love with, at all (mostly ME1, partially ME2, abandoned ME3). Actually, despite ME1 being in my top 5 games ever over 40 years, I'm left stone cold by this trailer. I love Johnny Cash, but in a trailer for ME? Oh dear. So many wasted opportunities with the ME franchise. It could've been epic and something entirely unique (like ME1), but it sadly crashed and burned. Anyway, I thank the old guard for what they gave me earlier. Time to move on for me too. ![]()
This means that it WILL be delay into early 2017.....
I'm still not sure if I'll buy another Mass Effect game, but I have nothing against game delays.
I've always believed that it is better to delay a game to make it great, than to release a game too soon to make meet timetables.

They didnt wreck anything in me3. Everything makes sense if you just use your brains. ![]()
And we dont even know if they are going to return to our galaxy again at some point.

There is nothing unique in me1 or others. It just copy paste plot from freespace.
Have to admit this will a long wait... around 1,5 years to play ME:A.
I wish they revealed more info about the story, but N7 Day should be when they start poping the heatsink...

Really?
a trailer for an ME game a year and a half away and THIS is the response you feel the need to post?
Sometimes i wonder if people are actually fans or just use that as an excuse to complain. Outside of Johnny Cash that trailer is...well exactly in the same tone as the other ME teasers (and even the beginning video as ME1) so whats there to really complain about outside of a great song by Johnny Cash?
They didn't reveal anything about the story or even showed up a TRAILER(That's right, it's a TEASER there, no questions asked)
So, you're already giving up on the game because it's 1.5 years away and it looks nothing like Mass Effect because there was no Shepard, nothing to say it wasn't Mass Effect, apart from the title.
Hell, those things don't characterize Mass Effect... See what it is here:
Mass effect fields are created through the use of element zero. Element zero can increase or decrease the mass content of space-time when subjected to an electrical current via dark energy. With a positive current, mass is increased. With a negative current, mass is decreased. The stronger the current, the greater the magnitude of the dark energy mass effect.
Taken directly from the Codex.
So, basically, we can guarantee that it will have Space Exploration, Element Zero, FTL, dark energy things and of course Biotics.
Shepard ISN'T Mass Effect, as much as everyone (probably) would've liked. But it's a big universe out there with billions of things to explore and THAT is what Bioware is trying to show us. That Mass Effect can exist and triumph in the fanbase without Shepard or those elements/Races/locations that made the Shepard Trilogy unique.

Why?
I am really sad about this
special because i saw a fallout 4 reveal with such an earlie release date
it kinda gave me hope you know
but then i was reminded it's bioware/Ea
and i find it ironic since fifa games comes out each year
but a new mass effect game witch has already been long in development gets a freaking 2016 release date ( with mabye chance of delay into 2017)
so yeah how does it make me feel ?
(Angry/Sad)
am i glad we got a mass effect reveal ? of course but we kinda already did get that last year so seen, what they had done on a whole year and the content they showed, it was just a huge disaapointment.
ME: Andromeda to be released Holiday 2016. How do you feel about this? I am not to sure. This means that it could delay into early 2017.....
I'm sure it'll be Q1 2017 lol. But 1.5 years off seems conservative though. But a delay nowadays is par for the course.
Hell, just make a great game. I'll wait.
I was surprised by how disappointed I was, given that I pretty much knew that this was coming.
That said, I'm sure I'll play the game, and I'm sure it will be fun. It doesn't have the setting I would prefer, but Bioware generally makes good games. Confirming Andromeda leaves me less than enthused than I would have been otherwise, although there is a long time until the release for Bioware to change that for me.
My biggest fear is that it will feel disconnected from Mass Effect. Won't know for sure until I play it, though.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Bioware will do with Andromeda. They have left themselves a lot of possibilities to keep the characters and challenges that we are used to from ME 1, 2, and 3, and also to add new problems and characters by transferring the setting to a new galaxy. I really just hope they won't just wipe everything clean and make everything we already know and feel irrelevant to the new game. But let's try to be positive in our hopes, they've made great games before and we know they can do it again.
