Let's give the people what they really want:

For MP, work on things like guns and powers.

For SP, just work on romance dialogue and sex animations.

The male character in the Andromeda poster looks like he is holding a Predator. Pre-order cancelled. I'm going to sit this game out. And wait another 6 years for Mass Effect: Andromeda 2 to come out.. after the 1 and 1/2 years wait we have left for this game. See you guy's in 2023.

I know, right? What were they thinking with the country music too? Now my whole life is in ruins :-(((((

I gotta say I've never done anything on the forums that feels as simultaneously guilty and fun as trolling the sp threads.

They are some entertaining little rage monkeys aren't they.

It's like kicking an anthill. You really shouldn't but sometimes you want to watch those little bastards lose their minds.

I wonder when (if ever) they'll admit the ME3 endings are FUBAR and just reboot the damned thing.

ME4 will be a successful game but I don't think it's going to have anywhere near the same kind of fanfare or popularity of the original trilogy. It's probably going to feel like just another sci-fi shooter which will do well but won't have the residual commercial might of a truly phenomenal release.

That reason would be that Fallout 4 appears to be on the verge of blowing any other game made this year out of the damned water, while this ME "trailer" was nothing more than a pile of batarian poop being put in a sandwich by a vorcha who's singing western songs.

... Where do you guys live, exactly?!? :o

Lol! That would actually be ****** awesome. It would spare me the money to buy the game entirely. And it would also spare me the quite likely disappointment when I finally understand ME4 MP won't even come close to ME3 MP in fun.

As for the trailer, thoughts and ideas on ME4... I won't even waste my breathe at the moment, honestly. But I might be more hyped about having to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Vorcha singing western songs? That's Johnny Cash, one of the greatest artists of all time, a true legend.

Johnny Cash in a ME teaser is like techno in an Elder Scrolls teaser, a match made in hell. It just doesn´t fit!

Agreed.  Not that I dislike Johnny Cash, but it felt way too out of place.  Between that and the desert scene, at first I thought that I had clicked on the wrong video and was watching the fallout trailer instead.

HA! I was too distracted by the hideous Xbox 360 graphics to notice. <_<

Seriously though, did they purposely make it look so awful to encourage next gen sales? Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 looked so much better! I cannot even bring myself to finish the SP on my 360. It totally ruins the mood when textures haven't loaded in during cut-scenes. I'm just going to have to wait and play it on the PS4. Sorry for the rant.

Anyway, I don't have a problem with characters looking or acting feminine. I'm quite girly myself and very petite, so I guess for me it is nice to see women who are similar and still kicking ass.  ^_^

It would be great if they would just let people customize their characters body type, like in Dark Souls.

They have one set of male and one set of female animations. No matter the race, they are the same. So your female Qunari walks in the same manner as a female elf. I have no problem with girly animations but they should fit to the character. The pose shown in the ME:A picture is ... not natural. It reminds me of comic covers where the female twists her body to show off both T&A at the same time.

Btw... I could complain about DA:I a lot but the graphics are great. On PC at least. Except for the dust overlay bug.

To be totally and completely negative...

I would be super happy if all they did was giving us more kits, powers, weapons and, mostly, maps, for ME3MP, as I doubt ME4 one will hold a candle to it...

I don't get it. Why exactly are you so thoroughly negative about the game?

The trailer was an early teaser trailer, you know that. The game is still 1.5 years away, nothing is finished yet. Fallout 4 is 5 months away, of course it'll have a more elaborate trailer (which wasn't anything special either, to be perfectly honest).

Adding more stuff to ME3MP, while nice, would never bring the playerbase back to what it once was, and it's getting smaller every day. A new game is needed, unless you just want to play with the same handful of people month after month - until they get bored too.

Maybe it's just me, but I think that even after a very successful game it's important to iterate, innovate and try to create something new. That's the only way there's even a slight chance of ever creating something that's actually better. I don't know if MEAMP will be better than ME3MP, but ME3MP was Bioware's first foray into Mass Effect multiplayer, and I'm sure they at least have a lot of ideas they'll want to try out.

Still not hyped. I'll get hype when I see gameplay, cinematic trailers don't do anything for me.

I really don't get all the negativity around here. I really don't mind some Johnny Cash in a teaser... he's awesome, and this kind of music, I felt, really went with the premise of the new game. However, I'm 100% sure that the game itself will not include this kind of music -- anyone that's complaining about that is just nitpicking.

But to be frank, this topic is nothing compared to the MEA boards, with the constant b*tching of all those stubborn die hard Mass Effect haters fans disbelievers people who are still butthurt about the ending --- uhh I can't find the right word here.

Lowering expectations does wonders to combat disappointment. Besides, the new game would have to live up to the combat mechanics of ME3 - with a new engine. I call that v-e-r-y ambitious.

Not impossible, but very ambitious. I'm pretty sure they'll do the voice acting right, though. But I'm hanging my hopes not too high for combat gameplay. At least not publicly - in secret I pray to the Godess it will all be fine.

Lowering expectations isn't quite the same thing as plain negativity. You can be positive and optimistic and still keep your expectations grounded. Negative attitude can also lead to disappointment, because of its natural tendency to focus on the negative and ignore the positive.

I hear Frostbite has been used for shooters before, so I don't see a problem there. ME3 combat gameplay isn't great because Biower managed to make the engine do some incredible tricks, it was great because it was - for the most parts - designed well. The engine also worked perfectly well in DA:I. That game certainly had lots of issues when it came to combat, but those problems had nothing to do with the engine, it was all about gameplay design.

Also, I think the combat gameplay mechanics only got better (and significantly so) with each title in the ME series, so I don't see why the next game would suddenly break the pattern.

Only time will tell, of course.

Let's start a petition in the SP forum: "Please drop SP development in order to make the MP experience better!"

The rage would be wonderful!

I'm pressing the romance button in the same direction:

The final game probably won't be as much fun as this, so I feel I've already had my money's worth :D
