I hope we get a real life omni tool with the collectors edition, like bethesda is giving people real life pip boys
So it is ME: Andromeda (Also Carnifex confirmed). Let's get hyped together!

Just the environment. Probably because they both use same engine.
Especially this shot caught my attention:<snip>
Western Approach from DAI<snip>
I was thinking the exact same thing when I watched the trailer.
I sure hope it isn't a wannabe open world game like DAI. I just can't get into them very well. I mean, I enjoy them, but I don't think I've ever actually finished the main story in any open world (or semi-open) game yet. Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion, Skyrim, DAI... I'm too completionist about them, and end up wandering around everywhere making sure I do every last quest, and find every chest, until I get bored with the lack of story that I'm inflicting on myself, give up, come back months later, can't remember what the story even was anymore, so I start a new character and repeat the process.
At the very least, please, no shards this time!

I tried the ME:A forum yesterday, but it isn't so cool like here. I guess I'll stay here for now. This is were I belong. Besides, I can get hyped here as well, if it becomes necessary.
Btw. the pistol looks more like the Carnifex than the Paladin.

All right, so after a good sleep, here is what I think:
-this is pretty much the only upcoming game that I'm really waiting for. Fallout 4? K, I may give it a try, but the others haven't interested me either. What else? The new GoW looks like some good co-op fun, but it's also coming in late 2016. There were quite a few releases since ME3, but none could really fill the space opera/sci-fi void that it left.
-I'm really hopeful after Dragon Age Inquisition, it was my game of the year 2014. It was the only RPG I could really enjoy since ME3. All right, the MP might have been a flop, but I could ignore that, since it didn't really interest me. I bought he game for its single player campaign, and not for its MP (unlike you, yes, you know who you are
)
-Unlike many, I'm not at all disheartened by the new setting, Andromeda, rather, I'm really happy about it. Although I do agree that the Milky Way could've been explored more deeply, together with the consequences of the ending of the trilogy ( I'm sure that it will be adressed, hopefully by a book or at least a comic). A new start is commonly a good thing, and I think Bioware made a good decision.
-Exploration. Ah, f'ing yiss. I was missing that ME1 "exploring the unknown" feeling from its successors, and MEA, I think, might bring that back. I, for one, welcome that.
-To anyone saying that this is not Mass Effect anymore, well you're entitled to your opinion. I do agree with some points, but, for me, this is still Mass Effect.
I can't wait for the game.

Nothing wrong with a girly pose. She might look feminine, but I'm sure she can still kick ass.
Uhm... yeah... have you played DA:I? Because they went overboard with the girly animations. Your battle-hardened warrior is mincing around like in ballet class only because she is female. I don't want to see something like that again. ![]()

I´m exactly the same. I´ve played them all, but the only game I finished was Oblivion, and that was with the 3. character ![]()

This also means that, provided they don't mess up on MP, I'm going to have to start datamining all the ME:Andromeda information.
I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet.

I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet.
It's a year and a half away anyway.
The hype train has to make stops at Fallout 4 and XCOM 2 long before ME:A shows up.

XCOM 2 sounds interesting... but considering I only played the first game twice, I don't have it in me to get hyped about it. I played the original X-Com: Terror from the Deep 20 times... recently I've been going back to older games a lot, they tend to disappoint me a lot less.

Soft reboot was the way to go, I'm too happy, they put the Shepard-story behind.
However now that it is really going to be a pathfinder-focused game, I really hope they make it a good one, the ME1-style wasn't really my cup of tea with the copy-paste underground compounds and the annoying mountain climbing.

I'm devastated!! Utterly!!
Andromeda was a girl. But I saw no blue space babes in the trailer!!!
OK, it looks I can keep headbutting which is a healthy, solid gameplay experience, but what about the combat dash?

Fixed.
This was one reason, why I stopped with DAI MP. Many DC and lags.

Judging by the trailer/teaser/whatever-that-video-is, the game looks more like a spin-off with the intent to make some cash than an actual and meaningful part of the ME franchise. I have opposed the idea of a new ME tittle since the ending of ME3 didn't leave any room for a reasonable continuation.
But hey, who cares about the SP part of the game anyway. As long as the MP is a 1/5 as good as ME3MP, I am in. Where do I pre-order it?

Shards, mosaics, bottles...those were just lowest of filler quests to add more "content", I am not a big fan of those either. I think DAI is problematic in that not only there is fair share of fetch or collection quests, but they are very insubstantial, generic and not tied to plot at all. But stil it´s at least doable for completionist. Skyrim is just nightmare ![]()
So if ME can somehow combine that (sort of) open world with interesting quests, that would be great.

I see nothing wrong with the pose
it's unnatural, but whatevs.
the trailer was honestly kind of lame: no alien races, no spaceships, no exciting places, no antagonist. oh look! a guy in an armor suit! he punches someone!
Yawn.
