Agreed, but it is a little ambiguous at the moment. Let's see what they do.
I guess Geth would fall into the same category then with Krogan and Quarians.
So would the drell, as they are an endangered species before ME3 and the Hanar homeworld where most of them live can fall to the Reapers in a Citadel sidemission. Ditto for the Rachni, who you can personally kill off as well. Low EMS destroy ending also essentially destroys Earth, which would render humans an endangered species basically composed of the people serving in the navy as well, hardly a viable population with a charred husk of a homeworld.
I loved Wrex....but this disappoints me a bit.
Not me. As much as I liked smashing the toasters, leaving the fate of entire species in the hands of the player was a half baked idea as far as continuity went. This just means that the writers are willing to handwave those silly outcomes in the interest of a more varied and interesting universe. Whether or not they do the same for the quarians/ geth, drell and Rachni is still up in the air, though.
