First? lol
Well, dissappointed. Curious if we'll get to see anything more of the game or if it's just the snippet we saw.

First topic in the ME4 forum. Feel proud ![]()
It was naive to think we'd see more, considering it's release date.
For my part, I'm satisfied. Maybe not entirely happy, but satisfied.
P.D: First post here ![]()
Welcome your new Andromeda overlord. Even if this is it we will get from the game at this E3, I'm happy we got the title, release window and the setting confirmed.
I'm guessing the leak was correct on the new galaxy account.

Well I guess that would make the rest a bit more likely to be true as well. But we'll see.
I think the leak was true, but don't forget that things can change between the leak date and release, or alternatively the marketing department just gave incorrect details.
You can't travel between galaxies! Why did they have to do this, there are billions of stars in the milky way, and we only visited about fifty of them in the original trilogy! This is a long shot even for science fiction. Do they have any idea what it means to travel to another galaxy? Even with FTL this would take hundreds of thousands of years! What's going on?
How are they suppose to convince us that this is possible?

Nope, FTL travel to Andromeda would take ~500 years at current FTL speeds and ~250 years using engines that travel at Reaper speeds.
We don't know how the characters are getting to a new galaxy, either - it might not necessarily be FTL travel.
Only thing confirmed from the leak is that it does take place in the Andromeda galaxy.
Considering they fucked up the ending of the last game, it was pretty much impossible to do the same galaxy without pissing many people off. I am happy for now that the leak is true, considering the many **** theories on the forum here.

More Reaper tech? ![]()

Nonsense, check your math. FTL at "standard" ME speed of 12 light years/day = around 500 years to reach Andromeda. Using Reaper 30 ly/day speed it goes down to around 200 years.

The only explanation is that they went through a worm hole to get to Andromeda.
No idea what they want in Andromeda, but I guess Bioware didn't have any other choice after they wrote themselves into a corner by completely f***ing up the Milky Way in Mass Effect 3 (from a narrative point of view).
Probably. The leak for Fallout 4 a year ago turned out to be 100% true

Seeing the trailer it might be like settlers in a wild west kind of setting, setting up new home in wild and unknown land. As to why, who knows, maybe they escaped the reapers through an ark, maybe theyre just doing general exploring in there.

Y'know as opposed to the millennia old death a machines that kill all advanced life every 50000 years. I don't think Mass effect has ever been big on the "realistic science" side.
I don't know where you guys are getting these standards from, but remember that we needed the Mass Relays to travel between star systems in the milky way. You can't travel between galaxies.
I don't know about Reaper technology, but if that technology could actually take us to Andromeda, then who do you think will be waiting for us there? The Reapers! If the Reapers had the technology to travel to other galaxies, then we will have to face them again in Andromeda!
Please, this explanation wouldn't work.
Leak confirmed to 110%

Not necessarily, if their mission was confined to the Milky Way.
We've never had any indication that they were interested in harvesting outside our own galaxy. It might've even been safer for them to remain in a galaxy that they could completely control, too, rather than risk travelling to a new one where life may have evolved in a direction that they didn't know how to counter.

What makes Mass Effect is its realistic setting. What I mean by this is that they base everything they do on actual scientific principles and ideas. Sure, it's science fiction, but we love Mass Effect because we can relate to the Universe they created. When you take us to Andromeda, Mass Effect becomes more of a fantasy, not science fiction.

Through Element zero they've made stuff possible in ME that isn't possible in our world. Being able to travel to a different galaxy might not be too unlikely, perhaps they've developed FTL so far that you can reach a Andromeda in 10 years?

This doesn't make any sense. The Reapers were a Type III civilization, with access to so much energy that they could expand their operations to other galaxies without much effort, and thereby increase their efficiency and chances of success.
I'm not sure if BioWare thought this all the way through.

That's been true for quite a while ![]()
