Turns out E3 2016 is the E3 we should be looking forward to... still, nice to know "the rumours were true" ... ANDROMEDA IT IS!
Well... guess we have to wait for E3 2016 for true Mass Effect: Andromeda footage.

It certainly was as pointless as "showing" it at E3 last year. Why follow in Square Enix's footsteps? Why annonce things so early? Wait until development is more advanced, until you can actually show something worth showing and when you have a clearer idea of the release date. This puts more off more than anything.

EA is a stock company, if they didn't announced anything the shareholders would be upset and worried that Andromeda was at development hwll.

There was just no build up to it. The show starts and BAM Mass Effect Andromeda. And that's it. We've been waiting in anticipation for a long time, I feel like they could've executed that a lot better, with something that doesn't look generic.

So we can full the forum with negativity about how Mass Effect Andromeda is certainly facing development issues and that is why Bioware is reluctant in showing gameplay and talk about a release date?

They've basically said that N7 day is the next time they'll show something, though there is a remote possibility of something at Pax Prime (they "revealed" the last DAI DLC there last year (though it had accidently been revealed a few hours earlier)).
