How could multiple races possibly not water down the storyline? Unless you wanted every playable alien race to simply be a re-skinned human with some minor differences it would totally take away from being able to tell a truly deep human story.

What if the main character is dealing with some Cerberus like entity in the new game? No way that would work with any real depth if you play as multiple races.

This is coming from someone who plays ME3 mp almost exclusively as non-human characters.

the trailer make me think about the ouest conquest by the cowboy ( the song) perhaps because the game will be focus on conquest andromeda and established human or ally collony. And people we already know they will took some of dragon ae inqusition to mass effect  because the last producer casey Hudson said it. that's why troll at the beginng call mass effect andromeda : mass effect inquisition . But we will saw what the team have achieve . i would say it s the game is as long as inquisition  ( sidequest, exploration , city , relationship , a costumize ship will be great and ect  ) and focus on mass effect univers it will be a great success .

I've just creamed my pants

This, and Frostbite has turned out to be great despite some of the engines early hiccups, I get 80+ fps in BF4 now on ultra with most Nvidia Control panel settings maxed, very excited to see the ME universe using it.

First of all, i was so afraid to be disapointed (don't ask why, just a feeling).

But i was gladly surprised by the MEA world and maps.

My only concern will be the armor, it feels so 2015 and not something from the future.

Now i can officially say i'm thrilled and excited.

ME2? The game that cures death and shrugs it off with "I got better"? Space Terminator? Those outfits? "Ah yes, Reapers?" Hah!

I´m not sure if I like the plot. Why not keep it in our milkyway? I for one would have wanted to see how the events played out after ME3.

Hmm....that actually looks somewhat interesting. As far away in time and space from the events of the original trilogy as feasible, that's good. The locations look intriguing. The character model, not so much because I'm burned on the recognizeable visual style since ME3, but we'll see.

HoldingInaFart pose on the female character aside I really like the look of the new default armour. The colours remind me of Miranda's APP armour and the design for the most part looks unisex.

If the N7 guy isn't the antagonist then he's the leader who dies, passing on the torch to our pc.

I...don't know. I honestly need more information. I don't have enough right now to form an opinion.

This "Mass Effect" game is only one in name.

It definitely looks like it. I don't think that people who loved the original trilogy will automatically like this.

Im beginning to wonder how much they actually have set in stone. Its been so long between teases and so little actually told to us It makes you wonder. Other than a cowboy theme did this trailer tell us anything we didn't actually know?

Andromeda wasn't confirmed yet.

So we got a name.

Yet we aren't Shep,(which im fine with) Its set so far away and so long in the future we probably wont know any characters.  Its a spiritual successor so it isnt a continuation as such. We cant play other races. But we know from over a year ago we get the mako which hopeful is a lot better this time. Basically apart from the name and some of the alien races its seems to be a new ip

It would be nice to have something to be hyped about rather than just drips about what it isn't.

No, I mean that this will barely resemble the original in terms of gameplay. It looks like this is going to be DA:I in space with SW:BF combat. ME2 for example wasn't anything like that.

One could say "but ME1..." and I understand that but in the end those side planets etc. were pretty pointless (hey I played a bit with Unreal Editor terrain generator) and you could completely avoid them all.

We know nothing about gameplay, Other then omniblades are back and that we'll have jetpacks. They didn't show any gameplay sequence, and the scene in the trailer isn't really different From scenes in other trailers or in-game cutscenes.
I actually wouldn't expect the gameplaY to be that different From ME3.

Finally!

Oh... It's just a teaser.

Not a bad one either

Good stuff:
Locations are beautiful, obviously.

“Representative of game experience”! Frostbite looks even better than expected.

Worrisome stuff:

Aesthetics is too different. If I didn’t have any context, I even would’ve not been sure it’s actually Mass Effect. I liked clean retro-futuristic visual style of the ME1. Over the years it had gradually shifted away from "retro" part. New style is striking, but feels more like generic modern sci-fi.

Looks like we going to have bipedal enemies again. Makes sense in a shooter, less so in RPG set in another galaxy.

Do we really need a jetpack? In RPG?

Music choice is dubious. Song is good, but it doesn’t fit Mass Effect universe as I used to see it.

Overall I'm hopeful and will follow news closely.

Good luck and inspiration to the developers in the coming years!

Oooh, I am soo exited!

Finally a new Mass Effect! Yeah!

Loved the look of the new worlds. A flying fish! Yeah!

I can play as a woman!!!! Double yeah!

Sounds like we are going to have companions! Yeah!

The Mako    is             back......      yeah?

Anyway - I'm happy!

The problem isn't that multiple species would water down the storyline, it's that they are so different in the ME universe compared to the DA races that it would be hard to do them justice unless you just straight-up made a spinoff with each species in mind.

Why do you think it'll be a SW BF style combat game? Because they're using DICE's engine? I liked the combat in ME3, it was fluent and fulfilling. Although I can understand that people preferred the more tactical style of play of DA:O and ME1, I for one will actually be really content if they stuck to the ME3 approach.

The one valid fear I can underline is the fear that it may be DA:I in space. But then again, I feel that the guys working on Mass Effect are genuine fans of the series and will do their utmost best to make the game feel truly Mass Effect-y. For now I'm just trying not to jump to any conclusion and am anxiously waiting for any and all bits of news, cause even though I really hope they don't screw this up, I'm still pretty pumped for this game.
