Can somebody please explain what does "holidays 2016" release date means? Does this means beginning of 2016, middle, end ? I tried googling "holidays 2016" and it just gives me list of holidays all over the year .

On one hand I think the direction they are taking is great in terms of scenario. Having exploration as the focus does make a lot of sense in terms of what it can offer, and whereas Dragon Age:Inquisition failed miserably at being a D&D game/Tactical RPG, that aspect is irrelevant with ME, so they're off to a good start.
That said, I am worried about it being a Skyrim or even DA:I in terms of bland filler. Before CD Projekt Red, Bioware were once the masters of story driven wonder. The world's they created FELT immense, regardless of size. The FELT deep and wonderful. Then they reach this bizare junction of ME3 "nothingness", and DA:I "Too much but nothing worth anything-ness"
Am I hyped? No. I've been hyped for Bioware's last 4 outings and I'm still waiting for anything to wow me half as much as Dragon Age:Origins or Mass Effect 1 did.
However I am interested. Which after the disaster that was ME3 (forget the ending, I just hated the game) it's saying a lot.
Make that choice of direction count please Bioware. I want to give you my hard earned money, but it has to be worth it.
Here's hoping for a return to form from the previous RPG heavyweights. DON'T make this COD meets Skyrim PLEASE.
All Bioware devs working on this, repeat this mantra 500 times before you sleep or meditate every day........

I remember saying they should do it in Andromeda after I beat ME3. Great move. They can do so much. I wouldn't be surprised if some characters returned, who knows where and "when" the Normandy ended up.... Liara was young no? 200 years isn't much for her race. Again, so many possiblities.
I am not sure yet how i feel about ditching the Unreal engine for Frostbite. We will need to see real gameplay to know if it has that ME feel, but I believe they will.
Do we know if this is a planned trilogy? I assume it will be multiple games. Once they engine is done they can create games faster. The first one on a new engine/platform always takes the longest.
They also have some monster writers for this game. It should not disappoint. I am telling you, if they are smart, wether its just this game, or trilogy, somehow at the end it will tie in to the first three and Shepherd/reapers. As much as we found out about them in ME3, there were still many questions.

Even though I liked Liara I want a whole new cast. References to yesteryear, fine. Appearances? Nah. There was plenty of Liara already in the original trilogy, more of her would grow tiresome. Besides, she had her closure in ME3.

I understand, just saying the universe i so vast they could do almost anything. i can def see an older Liara making an appearance.

Wouldn't the universe being so vast make returning characters less likely?
Most has already been said about action exploration etc, so what I will add is this.
I want a male character of African decent with an African accent for male male homosexual romance.
I do not want this character to fit any African nor black stereotypes, I want this character not to be an ****** like Javik, nor super nice yet does very bad thing like Liara, she threatened to skin somebody alive with her mind, yet complains every time she has to do something really bad.
I want him balanced, yet reasonably on the aggressive side, willing to do the dirty work without remorse, yet kind and nice when the situation gets soft and quiet.
Game play wise, make him a physically strong soldier with powerful moves, and a balance of biotic and non biotic abilities.

Nope. Anything's possible and as much as you may not want it others may. Some people like familiarity, some don't.
That doesn't really answer the question though. I mean before it was already kinda crazy how we ran into characters we knew already given we were all over the Milky Way galaxy.
Now we're going to a completely different galaxy in Andromeda. That makes returning characters appearing even less likely depending on how the story explains it.

I never realized how intense people get over the romance options in this video game. Are you this picky in real life? I'm sure they will have plenty of options.
When it comes to personality, no I am not picky, so long as we have some common interests, he accepts me for me, is faults I can accept, I will be friends and more.
Physically I like my men in shape, any race is fine, I like blacks more, I am not seriously looking again till I get in shape.

as for my pickiness, this is a work of fiction, so any character physically and personality can be designed, and I am tired of seeing cliche characters with extreme personalities, Javik with his extreme bad mood and arrogance, Liara with her self righteous morals, yet get hypocritical and threatens to skin people alive with her mind,
Kaiden being a ****** about Shepard joining Serberus to take down the collectors, I mean yes characters should have grievances and yes people in life take it to the point its annoying and aggravating, so they were realistic with them, except Javik, he was a huge ******.
UPDATE: You know how it is with mainstream fiction being mostly caucasian and mixed races, with blacks being few and when they are in fiction the character has some black stereotype, if not in personality, its the voice.
And I dont mean to be racist but thats the reality I am seeing in mainstream fiction.
I have a fiction in mind set in an alternate earth, continents will be the same but the countries will be different, dont know if I will ever get around to making it, I plan on it being futuristic.
My use of ****** comes from South park first episode first season, which is not the episode when kenny was like cartman in that college project.
I thought the word for that sex toy would not be censored, guess it was, just know what cartman called ike in the first episode and you will get what I am saying!

Although you're of course free to make any thread you want, I just wanted to say that such a thread would ultimately be pointless. Bioware won't tailor a character to fit your specific wishes, nor anyone else's. The best you can hope for is that they consider your wish for a black gay man to be romanceable, but any details beyond that are very unlikely to have any impact on the characters they write.
They've probably outlined all squadmembers at this point anyway, making it even more futile. Just keep that in mind
