You will play a human, male or female, ...
meh.
This "Mass Effect" game is only one in name.
If Bioware says it's Mass Effect, it's Mass Effect.
If there is no save file import, inevitable synthesis confirmed?
unless I guess the ship was sent out during the time of the trilogy and is only now arrive in andromeda.
Btw the name of the Johnny Cash song is "Ghost Riders in the Sky" ![]()
I am so hyped, I am hoping to see more Andromeda during the conference.
That trailer reminds me of Prey 2 somehow.
Got me interested as much as a brief teaser trailer can do.
Sticking around to see some hilariously OTT reactions ![]()
If the N7 character isn't the person we're playing as, I wonder what their significance in the story is?
The trailer is exciting. Great to finally have a title, and to see something a little more concrete (just a little).
Going to be a long wait to holiday 2016, but it's coming and I'm quite happy about it.
I'm actually happy with Andromeda setting and human only character but I wanna see some gameplay.
I hope it will. That would be awesome.I really hope this wont be Inquisition in space.
I think it's Shepard.
I think it's a Shepard clone.
Cause you know..... It's been done in the past, *cough Cerberus, Cough* Citadel DLC, cough*
Remember folks.... Shepard is an anomaly.
Alrighty then, here we go.
They really tricked us, I feel. I've seen a few topics complaining how the supposed MC was an N7, and thus a Shepard clone. Then Bioware says that it ISN'T our protagonist. What a tease, and a great one at that. If the mystery in the next game is who that N7 is I'd be hyped.
Multiple playable species was literally one of THE most requested features for the next Mass Effect game. Even DA:I had multiple playable species. You will play a human, male or female
Mass Effect: Andromeda will be to the Mass Effect franchise what Godzilla (1998) was to the Godzilla franchise - an installment in name only.If Bioware says it's Mass Effect, it's Mass Effect.

Jesus Christ. If it wasn't before, it should now be obvious to everyone that BioWare devs don't give a crap about feedback from their fans.
DAI story being too short and all those fetch quests were because of multiple races. I'm glad it's human only so resources can go to longer and better story.

Having multiple playable species has a massive impact on storytelling. I understand why they chose a human PC.
I just think even for a CGI Teaser reveal it kinda blew. Just a bunch of generic looking N7 troops running around. It was all very generic. I don't even like the title all that much. Mass Effect Andromeda doesn't really roll off the tongue. I was almost expecting Mass ____ with the Effect replaced with something else. Or for them to just say screw it and call it Mass Effect 4. But Mass Effect Andromeda kinda makes it sound like a spin off, not the next real step in the franchise. And it doesn't seem like they're playing to make a trilogy out of it, which is one of the things people loved so much about Mass Effect.
The game will probably be really good, but I felt like they could've handled that A LOT better. It's been 3 years since Mass Effect 3. The reveal for ME4 should've blown the lid off the place.

I kinda thought they put a random N7 recognizable person in there for the zomgggggg factor when they zoom on the logo. And the more on that later is when we get info on who the actual protagonist is, not about the N7 person you see here. Not sure, you can interpret that in multiple ways so maybe I'm wrong. But bringing Shepard into this just seems like a really far fetched idea. The cloning was bad enough.
