That's Lair of the Shadow Broker music, right?
That's correct. The track is 'Final Combat' to be more precise.

This is a omen, one that says Emily Blunt should voice the next female protagonist, that is, the one from ME Andromeda. Or that she should play Shepard in a Mass Effect film, can't quite decide which one, I'm not that good with the sticks.
Make it happen, Bioware!
Don't make it happen, Bioware.
Don't make it happen, Bioware.
What's wrong with Emily Blunt?
With her? Nothing.
I just don't want her to be the VA for the female protagonist.

Right, what's wrong with Emily Blunt? If resources weren't an issue, I think it'd be a smart choice.
I do not think her voice works with the kinds of characters I want to play, thus I do not want her to voice said character.
Why would it be a smart choice?
I rather like her voice. I'd be all for it.
Hmm, actually I think I like Zoe Saldana's voice best. Not too high--and squeaky, and not too low.
Good lord. I would love for Zoe Saldana to voice the next femprotagonist. Pssh, but that's never gonna happen.

Because her voice works with any kind of protagonist Bioware is used to create, she has range. You just know that whatever you want to do with the character, she can deliver, singing included.
What character you wanted to play?
Emily Blunt would be soooooooo expensive.
But the prize!
For the female protagonist, I'd think an actress who isn't well known but is good at acting would be the best choice for the role. Not an actress you'd recognise maybe, but one who does a great job.

Well, the tendence is that the better the actress the more likely the chances you'll know her. Although it's important to remember that one person cannot do just one voice, Jannifer Hale for example doesn't sound the same in all the games she did. Take Planescape Torment, she did two major characters and I don't think everybody thought those two character had the same voice.
Anyway, the only problem I see with Emily Blunt is availability. I reckon Bioware would want actors for the majors character that they can easily sign up for more work, not only sequels, but DLCs and maybe promo work. I don't know how Emily Blunt would do concerning that factor.

The other - and main - problem is the fact that she is successful outside of the video game acting industry. History tells us that the majority of already successful actors who take video game V/O jobs don't exactly ... give 100%, if you get my meaning. For instance, Christoper Walken is an. Electrifying presence in every, movie he's. Been in. In video games? Not so much. Also, remember how bad Troi from TNG was as Benezia?

Martin Sheen did an amazing work, wouldn't you agree? Kevin Spacey received a lot of praise for his work in Advanced Warfare, but I haven't played it. So It's certainly not a rule,. And she did some amazing voice work in The Wind Rises. But I suppose this is something we can't know unless it's done. But I certainly agree that if the actor, regardless of who, will not dedicated him or herself the way you expect them to, then it's better to look for someone else.

Damn you, Sheen, for being an obvious exception to the rule! That I forgot. I haven't played AW, so I don't know about Spacey. Anyway, let's restate things this way: there are some actors who go all-in and bring their top game to any role, no matter how they feel about the material; Sheen is an example, though there's plenty of others. On the other hand, there's a bunch of actors who let their taste affect their ability. I don't know which group Blunt is in, but I can't help but feel, whenever a named actor is brought up in a video game cast, a little trepedation.

Eh, he was alright. He essentially just played Martin Sheen.
Errr, we don't know anything about Martin Sheen's life. So... Yah. He's using the same voice as Martin Sheen, but completely (or not) out of character for Martin Sheen.
Martin Sheen was excellent. I like the guy and his character he voiced, TIM
Linda Hamilton would make for a good voice to use for the female lead in MassEffect: Andromeda

He just read the lines in his natural speaking cadence, which is memorable all on its own. TIM doesn't really do anything, apart from getting angry near the end of ME2. And there's not much that TIM does in ME3, either. In terms of any kind of variety to the performance.
Let me try putting it this way: Brian Cranston is a phenomenal actor, and he has a distinctive voice. But getting him to read lines, in his speaking voice, isn't the same as getting him to act.

Or a professional voice actress.

Ehhh, I'm gonna disagree with you there. It's a slight difference, but one that's made to be important. In voice acting you've gotta really make the person believe that you're really at those emotional extremes. And you don't have your entire body to prove it, like you do with TV or film acting.
Martin Sheen did exceptionally, IMO.
^This SOOO MUCH! I love Garrus,Werx,Tali, and everyone else as much as the next guy but their stories are done. No.cameos. Doesn't ME:A take hundreds of years in the future anyway?
That's the whole point, in which he and by default when this next point is brought up, (Firstly i never watch playthrough or read guides unless i can't finish a game myself, and im a compulsive person if I started something and im enjoying it, then i will do everything i can to possibly extend that enjoyment, especially do every mission there is, hence I never knew you could NOT do grunts mission because there is no way I'd ignore it.) however unlike Wrex, Liara, Garrus, Tali ect ect. Grunt is not on the Normandy by the end of the Mass Effect nor is he fighting with the forces on Earth, Grunt is recovering after his mission, which for all we know could be on Tuchanka, now we know that ALL the races are returning in Andromeda which means all the races took part in the Ark, so who do you think these races would send in this last ditch effort to avoid extinction? The pragmatist in me says the best species or the ones who had enough money or clout to pull to get on board. Wrex and (assuming you didn't kill him) or Bakara would definitely send someone like Grunt on such a mission as 1 he's still a child even given his growth into full grown manhood by the time you unlock him, he still has at the very least nearly a 1000 or more years of life ahead of him, a few centuries traveling on a ship would mean nothing to such a long lived character. Unlike Liara as i mention he wasn't on the front in the final push it is very likely he could have survived and left the Milk Way.
