Multiple playable species was literally one of THE most requested features for the next Mass Effect game. Even DA:I had multiple playable species.

 

Jesus Christ. If it wasn't before, it should now be obvious to everyone that BioWare devs don't give a crap about feedback from their fans.

 

Caring about feedback isn't the same as implementing everything the fans request. And there are a few of us who agree with the human-only approach for the sake of better dialogue, story and even technical stuff like animations

If the N7 character isn't the person we're playing as, I wonder what their significance in the story is?
 
The trailer is exciting. Great to finally have a title, and to see something a little more concrete (just a little).
 
Going to be a long wait to holiday 2016, but it's coming and I'm quite happy about it.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned Prey 2. Dunno why but I feel both games shares similarities.

The game will probably be really good, but I felt like they could've handled that A LOT better. It's been 3 years since Mass Effect 3. The reveal for ME4 should've blown the lid off the place.

 

 

Yeah I agree, don't feel much with this. But it sure beats silence and some rumors though. It was time to let us know *something* and hopefully more soon.

Watch the Mass Effect 3 reveal trailer.... Shepard is seen watching Earth burn from Space and turning to walk toward the player/viewer/audience....

I believe Shepard is the N7 character. 

 

I believe the ending of ME3 never happened, it was a red herring.....

 

Shepard never awoke form the 3rd dream... .Hehe. 

 

 

BioWare does this... They have these type of big reveals, in which the player is thrown a huge curve ball- Kotor, Jade Empire, The 2nd Mass Effect. The players perspective is totally altered in a way that is so shocking. You're the Sith Lord in Kotor.... You die in the beginning of ME2..... You're mentor is the villain and behind everything.

I really hope that. Would be a great change to not save the city/world/galaxy in a bioware game.

unless I guess the ship was sent out during the time of the trilogy and is only now arrive in andromeda.

 

More like, the events of ME3 are only going to be discussed very, very vaguely and have little to no impact on the plot.

Yep. I'm incredibly glad it's been confirmed we're human-only.

 

I like to think folks around here know me well enough to understand that I would love to see all of us satisfied on everything. But the fact is, that's never gonna happen, and this was a really big deal for me. So... sorry to those who are bummed, but frankly I would have been just as bummed if multiple races were confirmed.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be to the Mass Effect franchise what Godzilla (1998) was to the Godzilla franchise - an installment in name only.

Oh boo freaking hoo. This is what is wrong when a company openly advertises they listen to feedback. Everybody starts to feel as if they should have a say in development of a game, and that if a company doesn't listen to one piece of feedback it means they don't listen at all.

 

How about we get down to reality and realize that a company will always have their own vision for a game, and being as its their IP they have a right to fulfill their vision, and are going to select to listen to feedback that best fits their vision.

 

Inquisition had multiple races, and also has the worst plot of any Bioware game I've personally played. If they stuck to a human only as intended resources would have gone somewhere else. Mass Effect has never had multiple playable races for SP. There's no precedent for it, so getting this upset is silly.

lol, naw. He never awoke from the 3rd dream. He was put out and frozen by the alliance, see. They knew the Reapers could not be defeated. They knew the galaxy was lost. So.... They sent the one human that could lead and defend a new Galaxy. They sent a battle hardened soldier. They sent a protector.

Well, they're not very pretty so it's easy to understand BUT Triangulum is absolutely just as 'sexy' as Milky Way or Andromeda but nope, it's always the other 2 in sci-fi...
