@Naturegay85: Who hasn't had nice things?
Well, ME2 (at least the plot), DA2, and ME3 weren't great. And that's just Bioware. Other companies have issues as well. Look at launches like Assassin's Creed Unity, where the game is completely broken at launch.
And this is exactly the main reason why I don't give BioWare the benefit of the doubt. They screwed up the ending in ME3, DA:I was a disaster, the games they make are tedious and boring, regurgitating story patterns on every different game, and making DLCs milking money. It's no wonder that people criticized them harshly because they've been bullshitting around and not keeping up with the competition, they better get on the good foot otherwise they will begin to plummet to the ground.
Well that's a separate issue as what I said doesn't apply only to Bioware. As to what you said, I don't find the games tedious and boring and don't mind the similarities in the stories. For me, it's more about the quality of the writing. I really liked KotOR, Dragon Age Origins, and Mass Effect. I liked Mass Effect 2 despite it's crappy plot. Dragon Age 2 had a crappy plot but didn't have the great characters to carry it that ME2 had. ME3 had similar issues to 2 but the ending really took a dump on the series. I have not played DAI yet but have heard mixed reviews including sentiments similar to yours.
For DLC, we need more of LotSB, Legacy, and Mark of the Assassin and less chopping out things that should be in the main game like Javik. And no "Congrats on winning! Now buy DLC!" messages at the end, please.
