it's not just bioware, it's everywhere, the entire industry is falling victim to this lazy greed... no one wants to do anything worth while anymore, they want more money as cheaply as possible, because there's still no such thing as free money. i started to notice it in bioware with DA2, that cut and paste level design was the first sign. *sigh* now they've got me riming... and it slowly but steadily went downhill from there, the games, not my riming.

i preordered skyrim (the first time i've ever preordered, DA:I was the second and last), it wasn't cheap, and it was more "empty" than oblivion, which was far more shallow than morrowind, but i didn't really care that skyrim was more shallow than oblivion. why you might ask? because i expected it, and the marketing campaign did little to persuade me otherwise. inquisition's marketing convinced me (because i still had some faith in BW at that point) i would not be getting a console game ported over to the PC, however... what i got was a bloody cheap mess of a poor console to PC port, so i was quite angry. had they not convinced me i wasn't getting a cheap port, but a real honest to god pc game, made for the pc... hmm, i don't think i'd have preordered, though i still would have picked it up at some point and as a bonus, steam wouldn't be shooting out my ears.

I think BioWare want to sell the game a premium price while the game is made cheap and that is a very bad move because #1- They're ripping people off that way of selling a sub par game for prenium price. #2- They want to make "fast money" by selling cheap games. Also it will show their weakness to their competitors and they'll step up with a game that'll get people's money's worth, like what CDPR offered Witcher 3 with high quality and well made better than DA:I and outcompete BioWare. If BioWare want to stay on top listen to critics not praises so they can plan ahead and improve their formula and listen to fans.

They even forgot to add the option to bind extra mouse buttons. Maybe the PC port was done by interns who never played anything on PC before. Or they just didnt give a damn because the original game was too focused on controller button mashing gameplay, far beyond saving. I mean, imagine having the task try to make using that travesty of an ismoetric view called tac cam be a great experience with a mouse. Not even surprising they forgot to add the minor walk toggle when faced with such an impossible mission. The 30 fps cap was another nice bonus for the PC version. Still, if Andromeda have all the typical port issues, it can be an awesome game regardless. If they dont go with the first generation static open world mmorpg stuff as 99% of the content again as in Inquisition.

Shepard isn't near as iconic as Batman but The Dark Knight Rises ended with Batman's death and Bruce Wayne retiring. Picking Batman was actually perfect because, like Shepard, he's a normal man and doesn't have super powers. He can't keep doing this crap forever. Also there's the issue of Shepard possibly being dead. He had a story and that story is over. It's time for somebody else.

Both are icons, Shepard is an avatar. He can keep doing it as long as anyone remembers or cares about that avatar.

You don't care much anymore, and that's fine. But the arguments are just useless. Actually trying to objectively put your emotions across is st... err...not smart.

They're emotions, there's no objectivity there. So just say "I'm sick of Shepard, I want something new." and not "Shepard deserves a rest." or something vap... empty like that and everything will be just fine.

I find most threads tedious and repetitive these days, which mostly results in ennui/apathy rather than depression.

It's not that I'm sick of Shepard, it's that the story was complete. It's just like how Frodo left Middle Earth and joined the Elves, Gandalf, and Bilbo on the Last Ship. He did his thing and now his adventuring days are over.

Oh, you mean prerelease footage like "Interactive Storytelling"?

https://www.youtube....h?v=bJu-u3zFMyk

I was fine with everything up until.

"The choices you make will have consequences that could lead to the salvation or destruction of entire civilizations."

Its a meaningless dialogue option in the middle of what I would consider to be the most linear and uncompromising story mission of the entire franchise.

We all know by now that our decisions, will have little to no meaning in the end with ME.

I agree, and it is the very reason why I rarely come here anymore.

Nothing but whining now a days. It feels like you are not allowed to like anything out of Bioware anymore.

I understand you wanting the story to go on forever, but it can't.  Or did you wanna see Shepard in Dirty Grandpa telling dick and fart jokes?  And even if you did see like this, would it really be Shepard?  It's one or the other.  There is no gray area here.

Never said I wanted to have shep go on for ever that's your dream. I wanted the trilogy to end with the choices I made reflected. Not a rainbow choice of rubbish like ME3. The whole stick, for ME1, was our choices, developing the game trilogy and that never happened.

That I would say is a good indicator that our choices, in future games, will also have no point and we will get served up what ever half finished ending they make up .

It's weird how routinely this section is used to complain about the ME3 ending. There's still an ME3 section for that.

Seems that was to complicated for goishen to follow. I despair at times.

Argue with the ending all you want to.  I'm as done with the ending as Commander Shepard.  Our choices will make a difference.  If it's to either you, the game, or the gaming company, it has no relevance.  If it does come down to just you, however, and you cast it off aside, realize that you have still made a choice and whether or not you choose to relegate it to nothingness is completely up to you.

But, I have to ask you then, why are you playing these games?  Go off and play COD or BF.  Be someone who is lolpowerful.  Leave me to my games.

Go watch the A-Team or Commando.  lolpowerful == never lose.  If you're not winning, we want nothing to do with you.  Doesn't matter if you've won the past one thousand battles, if you lose one, game over man.  It is unrealistic to the point of hilarity and sadness.

Bioware forums...still kicking with the new wave of funny people as ever.  Sarcasm and negativity, so edgy! Nothing like kicking some dirt on people's hard work and passions.

Cheer up people.  Life isn't all bad.  See you around the announcement of ME:A release date.

I am registering my problems with ME and Bioware. This is a good thing if they mess up the next ME game and need to do a U turn. Negative comments are probably more useful than lap dogs. Seeing where you went wrong, gives you a chance to go back and fix things before you burn down the whole company. Yes men are no help when you need to sort things out.

Exactly what is it about BSN that makes you think there's any lack of negative feedback that you need to make up for?
