Haha, I'm trying to find that post where Hanako Ikezawa says "I've been ready for 9 years"

That's here: http://forum.bioware...ndromeda/page-7

Will someone get Natureguy85 and Themikefest a room of their own, please. I thought this topic was about ME:A, but just lived through a complete recap of the ME Trilogy. Who cares about who did what to who and who didn't do their job. They're gone. Bioware and EA are making sure of that. The only reason Mass Effect is at the beginning of this game title is to pull the players in. A familiar name that has nothing to do with the trilogy that ended sooooo badly. I was thoroughly disappointed with the ending and really find it hard to get excited about any game coming out that could be remotely close to ME. Whoopie-doo, the Mako moves faster, well I hope it is more controllable than the one is ME1. Hope they got rid of those bouncy rubber wheels. And YEAH!!! now I get to fly up into the air and bounce off rocks and walls. I'm not impressed. Actually, I'm with a post I saw earlier. Not rushing out to buy this game. I'll catch it on the half-off sale. Give me DA any day, even if DA:2 really did suck.

They can't even get a good love interest going in ME. Nothing really happens until the last mission. It's like the old adage, "I'm going off to war and I might not make it back, or you might not. This is our only chance to get laid." REALLY. Your writers need to get a life and find out what true romance is all about.

    I think and appealing look for the player's in the new Mass effect universe would be nice, I found it troublesome that Miranda got the only sexy uniform's in the Mass effect environment ( I know there were others, but hers was the most stand out of them ), and felt that the player got jilted in that respect anyway, { And DAI was for me disgusting armor I don't care what anyone says [ Many say it was Practical, that's what I say about a Gas saving economy Car, but not what, if I have the money, I want to drive. This is fantasy, I don't Die, and the re-spawn, at a save point in real life. I go 6 feet under>>> I want Fantasy impossible day dreaming Escapism  }

I don't mind a feminine outfit, but please don't have us running around in high-heels and armor that doesn't cover us. I like fantasy too, but I like realty fantasy. Half naked running around fighting aliens, don't cut it, unless you have rhino skin. Sexy casual wear would be nice.

Ha, sorry. Anyway, that's unfortunately not true. Mac Walters, lead writer of ME2 and ME3, is the Director.

And yell at some other guys for looting.

Psh. That means we can be hypocritical, or out-and-out misrepresent who we are to further our agenda. I don't mind having that option in an RPG at all.

Earlier we questioned how they'd get to Andromeda and whether or not the Reapers had been there. While I don't think the latter is the case, a Relay there would answer that. I was looking at the Codex and was reminded that there are dormant, unused Primary Relays around. All they need to do is make people try them in a desperate attempt to escape the Reapers and find one goes to another galaxy. Of course, that means the Reapers can follow...

Personally my only request would be not to tear out our hearts at the end of what ever is coming, all those years of working with our "Shepards", developing her/him the way we felt she/he should go just to have that ignominious ending (without extended cut) at the end of our journey, I was crushed thinking that this was all they could come up with, took me several weeks to even look into the extended cut and that was like a band-aid on a severed arm, still hurts

To be honest, after a couple of game run, I start to appreciate all different endings, the fact is that we all expect to win, but maybe this isn't a war that you can win. Shepard changed history, he/she made history, and for that he/she will be never forget, but I'm ready to move over, because this is Mass Effect, not a story about a man/woman.

So, will I be so lucky to meet Liara T'Soni again?

After all her race gets very old... And I do think the game will be empty without her. So to speak.

Its confirmed that it wouldn't make much sense for old characters to return. So not unless you start a new PT.

But how can that be possible? All the mass relays at the end of ME3 were destroyed...

And to top it all with the extended cut it shows the galaxy rebuilding what was there, so what is the need to go to Andromeda in the first place even if this new game is set like 100 years of whatever after the events of ME3?

The answer is in Natureguy's post: "in a desperate attempt to escape the Reapers". I.e. the relays are not yet destroyed as it would happen before ME3's finale.

I'm not sure how I feel about the idea. A relay leading to Andromeda would mean the Reapers went there too. But if they were long gone, it might be interesting. There could be a lot of background mystery surrounding how they were vanquished/why they left :) although if Bioware then decided to bring them back further down the line, it would have to be done properly and not just because they could.

Another idea is to have a Milky Way relay has a malfunction and our arrival in Andromeda is an accident (is that possible without a relay in the other end? Probably not, but they could write some pseudo-reason in. Like, instead of a drift "just under 1500k", it would be a bit more than that :P).

*shrug* Don't really know what I prefer. I'm not thinking about it too much until we see/hear for ourselves.

Ryder: Wait a minute. Wait a minute, Bioware. Ah... Are you telling me that we drifted in the space for a million of years for a malfunction and now we are in Andromeda?

Bioware: The way I see it, if you're gonna travel to another galaxy, why not do it with some *style*?

I was referring to the drift off-mark when you transition from one relay to another, so it would still be spontaneous, just very off-mark :P but yeah, it's not a great idea by any means, just an example of how relays could be used to explain the journey to another galaxy :)

Still very Back to the Milky Way regardless :D

(I like it by the way)

E3 is coming I hope we get some more info on a game (not that it will be delayed again). Longer you make it, harder it will be not disappoint people that are waiting for next episode of their favorite game. Considering amount of activity on this forum expectations toward new game are in astronomical size.

Actually, it would just mean the Reapers had been to Andromeda (somehow) and made Relays there too. Then the signal from the Crucible traveled to Andromeda and killed the Reapers, canonizing Destroy. Then the Relay was destroyed and they are now stranded.

Something like that. I'm just throwing out ideas, but I'm not sure I like them either.

In the original post it says "taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy", it's my own theory that when they blew up Sovereign in ME1 a group of folks realized major poop was headed their way and created colony ship(s) on a major scale "Just in case" in total secrecy, not everyone were as closed minded as the Council.
