I'm glad to see a man and a woman on the poster, so good job on that, Bioware. I do wish she didn't stand like she's trying to hold in a fart, though. It looks ridiculous.

Look once you have farted in a sealed suit you'll do anything to prevent it happening again!.... trust me.

While i have some reservations i agree it's too early to lose my mind over a teaser....

Got to wait until they show some more (plot included).

If there is no save file import, inevitable synthesis confirmed?

unless I guess the ship was sent out during the time of the trilogy and is only now arrive in andromeda.

Three words: Mass Effect Keep.

Needs to be called something else besides Keep because "Keep" just sounds too medieval and DA-ish.

Mass Effect: Datapad.

Mass Effect: Hangar.

Mass Effect: Archives.

Son of a ******. Are you kidding me? One of the reasons I love Mass Effect is because not only do they go in depth with the lore, but they stick to it. (Citadel an multiplayer can bite meh shite)

To get even a single ship to Andromeda, you not only have to break the lore in half, you have to rape its twitching corpse. The only way you're getting close to that tech is through the Reapers. And that would mean addressing the endings, which is what I'm assuming they're trying to avoid.

While I am pissed right now, I also know not to take what Bioware says at face value. I'll be watching though, you bet your ass. Please surprise me.

Yours truly, a lore nerd that assumes giant ass pulls are coming.

I'd honestly rather this game not even reference events from the original trilogy just so we don't have to worry about Bio picking a "canon" story that goes against what we, individually, chose.

And please, for the love of all things sacred, don't let the main character be Shepard or a clone of Shepard or Shepard's great-great-great grandson/granddaughter.  New character, with zero link to Shepard.

I am so excited to get to play in the Mass Effect universe without the constant pressure of fighting Reapers. Also at the unlimited potential of exploring a new galaxy. Next year and a half will be a long one.

I'm really really realllllllllllllly hoping that this game doesn't have jump packs.  I don't wanna play Titan Effect.

I mean, I will.   But I just hope that it doesn't have them.

Do they have to address the endings to acquire Reaper drive tech? The SR-2 was equipped with weapons that were reverse-engineered Reaper tech. Why not an ark with a drive that was reverse-engineered Reaper tech.

I don't actually like this idea, though. I'd prefer a wormhole, sealed by blowing up the relay in its system.

Everytime I see something new realted to ME:A, I make similar whining noises as our dog when she wants to go outside. So yeah, I'm pretty pumped. Also, I am hoping from the bottom of my heart that the N7 in the trailer wasn't Reaper-Shepard as theorized.. While I'd like something similar to DA:Keep to custom a worldstate and to get some references to Shepard trilogy, I am not exactly thrilled about the idea of making them a villain.

What on Earth makes you think that? The ONLY ending we can confirm it is'nt, is the one where all advanced life in the Milky Way is exterminated..

I'd be very surprised if they didn't have something analagous to the Dragon Age Keep for ME:A. Unless of course the events of the original trilogy don't matter, in which case I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thing is if they didn't show N7 on the armor people could easily have taken it for another IP.

Have you not even seen the ME3 launch trailer? If it wasn't for Shepard walking away in the N7 and the shot of the reapers people would say the same.

LOL. This is a series that fails at science so hardcore - and invents so much new lore with each internation - that this complaint makes no sense.

I can't believe the last bit of Mass Effect we got was in 2013.

Despite the trailer revealing next to nothing except the location of the game (as is the case with most reveal trailers), I have to say I am excited.  3 years and change is a long time to wait, but so long as the game can recapture the greatness that was the original series, it will be well worth the wait.

Congrats, you figured out women have curves. What badass pose can a woman make that doesn't show that off, same goes for males? You get a clear shot of his ass and broad back.

How DARE you point out that men are subject to the exact same marketing poses and tropes as women! How DARE you insinuate that equality in such matters exists!!!!!11111oneoneoneoneeleven

Because they apparently suck, despite the fact the Andromeda switch was Made before Bioware hired him.

Looks good but given the pre-release bullshit surrounding Inquisition, I'll take any suggestion that that's the in-game fidelity with a pinch of salt, at least on something short of SLI'd Titans.

So basically, he's not using logic at all.

I think we're gonna have the same problem with this game as we did with DA:I. Judging by what we know officially about the game, and the leak that was released not too long ago, it really seems like ME:A will focus way more on exploration. The entire premise seems to be about scouring a new galaxy. While the idea of searching and claiming new areas sounds great on paper, it also sounded great on paper for DA:I too. Until the game came out and you found yourself spending 50+ hours doing boring sidequests in an empty world.

If you read the leak here:

https://www.reddit.c...vey_about_mass/

It all sounds a lot like DA:I doesn't it? Exploring new places, claiming areas, managing a faction. Yeah that sounds familiar. Plus we don't have much incentive to believe that this will be the beginning of a new trilogy, given the premise and how they haven't mentioned anything about doing that.

I'm very nervous about this game.

:o omgosh.

was not expecting that. I kinda like it..

Ah, Johnny Cash, a classic. The GhostRiders, doomed to chase the devil's herd "across these endless skies".

Hmm, it gives me a bit of a roguish feel. Feeling of pioneer.

Yet, that was not our character? Sooo, what's happening? Was it just a stand in? Or an important enough character to be in this trailer? If so, are they chasing us? Because if that's not us, then..I get the feeling we're being chased, or looked for, or something like that. I'm not gonna lie, that character moves like the Law. He moves like the Law. In that first part of the trailer.

And there we are, I'm guessing, cutting up in the Mako somewhere.

*I wish we could scan and travel like that in game.

<moved from ME3 Scuttlebut thread>

I've got nothing bad or snotty to say about ME:A's trailer. I'm excited! I like that it's taking place far into the future from ME3. I'm wondering about RGB+Refuse tho'...

The Mako looks like something I would love to get my hands on! (I was never a fan of the original Mako).

"An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day..." Ghostriders in the Sky. Well Ok. Cheesy, but maybe a hint about the character we'll be playing? I dunno.

I'm excited about using virtual 3D side scrolls to choose next destination. <edit: Looks like he's searching for resources without having to travel down to the planet or doing that circular scanning of 1 planet at a time.> Very much improved from the trilogy!

I saw a Shepard move there at the end. The jump attack with the knife out. Felt like Shepard to me... hmmm... <edit: N7 logo has shifted location on the armor. hmmm..>

I think the trailer is good. It doesn't reveal too much but raises so many unknowns.

If I could buy the product today, I'd already be playing. Seriously, how could you NOT love that trailer and be a ME fan?

It's coming back! Not with Shepard...   :(   :crying:

It's coming back! With new crew/protagonist/environments!   :P   :wizard:

It's coming back! With a new Mako!

It's coming back in time for Xmas 2016!  =]

It's coming back with a better game engine!   <3

It's coming back. Period. Not cancelled.   :wizard: That's my biggest joy. I love sci-fi RPG/FPS's. Bioware does this genre like no-one else.

Thanks for posting this thread!!!

edit: I saw a Krogan running with the N7 operative. Should make someone happy.
