After what happened with the third game, I'm not sure I want to continue. My canon adventure stopped at ME2 and from there I just headcanon the rest with the material I got from the third game.
Not really interested

What? The game only takes place in a small part of Andromeda. It wont be a galaxy-scale level threat.
It seems they learned their lesson. Or, at least, one would hope.
I'm pretty sure they'll start small then build up on it later. I have a feeling this will be another trilogy

By the looks of things they most likely didn't.

There was almost nothing Mass Effect about that trailer. If you just take away that frame with the krogan and remove the title, I'm almost willing to bet that you can convince people that it's Halo 5.
Hmmm...
Yeah, that Mass Effect 3. Nothing Mass Effect about it. You just remove that shot of the reapers, and I'm willing to bet that you can convince people it's Halo 4.

If you're not interested then why are you still on the Mass Effect forums?
One does not leave Mass Effect easily. It is like drugs.

Because we're self-entitled gamers.

Galactic clusters are in the range of 100,000 stars. I hardly call that small.
The Helious Cluster is home to many species and mankind is attempting to carve out their own territorial sphere. Invading planets with a native population is out of the question. Mankind is starting out in a very weak position (read leaked poll) which allows room for the 4X playbook.... which is explore, expand, exploit and exterminate.
The Pathfinder is key to the game, which in my view, starts off with one pre-established colony world. This gives the "Earthers" a starting resource base from which to expand. Plus, you don't outstrip the Helious Cluster of available human type worlds in a few centuries of colonization. A simple population growth rate curve shows you that fact.
No, there is plenty of time and stories to be told, just in this cluster.

Perhaps so.
But, they may try a simple twist. That is, the Pathfinder, at the end of the game, set the starting point for another protagonist in the next game, maybe a few centuries later. This avoids the attachment fans have for a "trilogy hero/ine". Or, maybe. the son/daughter of said Pathfinder takes over... giving the fans that connection that many crave.

I think people had surprisingly high expectations of what they were going to show in this E3, having in mind it was a pretty known fact that Andromeda wasn't going to be released until very much the end of the next year.
Yeah a lot can change in that time. See what happened with DAI Crestwood

Its the first time they showed the game, calm down .
The first trailer had to provoke WOW-effect in order to convince most players the game is going to be great. But everything in the trailer is disappointing instead, even music choice. What did they want to achieve by that? Scare the core fans? If so, they did it well.

No matter how long I leave the bsn whenever I come back there is no shortage of negative nancys with bad attitudes.

choosing a specific ending as their canon.
They should have done that - pick "destroy" as canon ending, and continue from there within the Milky Way galaxy.
Probably they were too scared of whining. "Oh no, I picked synthesis, Bioware you betrayed my choice!".
Too bad.

If the leak is true, there is an even tighter tie in to multiplayer in MEA. We'll see how it all plays out closer to release though.

If you're not interested then why are you still on the Mass Effect forums?
So, " 'merica! Love it or leave it!", eh? Complaining is not allowed? If not here, then where? It's not like the OP is posting this on a stamp collector's forum where this would be off-topic. EA doesn't exactly make it easy to communicate complaints with them. If you don't like these kinds of threads, then why do you read them and comment on them? See! I can do the same thing you do!
OP, I quickly lost interest for any bioware game over the dropped support for xbox 360 and ps3 for da:i. They handled the announcement poorly. They are offering mp free and unlimited for pc players for people who have not purchased the game, but they won't give those of us who paid for the game on ps3 or xbox 360 a free trade in or trade in for a discount. I will no longer give my money to any EA stamped game because of it. I'll wait until I can get andromeda used. I will no longer buy dlc. I will no longer financially support mp. There are good developers and publishers out there that I will support.

I was giving advice that I received it helped me so I thought it might help the OP. Oh and the fact they left the last generation of consoles behind was a given they always do that when new and better consoles are released with every game to think otherwise is just childish and silly.
