It's still a theory, since we don't know how we get to Andromeda. It could be with an Ark, could be with something else.

Wasn't aware of this name... but since my personal "theory" is that they're refugees from a devastated Milky Way... an "Ark" would of course be appropriate.

Eh, I'm guessing it's pretty simple:

We recovered from the Reaper War, went exploring, found a sufficiently powerful dormant Mass Relay and *poof*! Instant Andromeda scouting party.

 

The ME3 endings probably get referenced, mostly as stuff taking place back at home. (Synthesis might make a bit more of an impact on any Milky-Way-origin characters, whereas the other two are comparatively simple.) Meanwhile, we get to experience how a galaxy completely free from the Reaper-cycles has developed.

 

Honestly, I'm looking forward to it. I'm not ultra-hyped, but a clean slate, treating the previous game with broad strokes but nonetheless maintaining continuity, feels like the best way to proceed.

Hell, "Reapers" could even mean two things at this point: post-ME1 Reaper fear or post-Arrival Reaper fear.

Huh? We know exactly how they get there. They truck it the hard way to Andromeda on several massive ships, over the course of 600 years while the colonists are in cryo.

I don't think there is going to be any big revelations about that at this point. We know we don't take a relay, a wormhole, or any other reasonable means of travel.
