Looks like that "rumored leak" was true after all.

Not hyped.

Not until in-game (NOT IN-ENGINE) footage and any real story details that haven't (seemingly) been leaked first.

I'll need confirmation Walters and anyone else who signed off on the endings isn't anywhere near this before I consider it.

But it is a step in the right direction.

lame.  I love ME but taking it to Andromeda just to avoid their own garbage ending is asinine.  I've been pretty hyped about this.  Finding out the "leak" was true is the first thing I've seen/read that actually drops my "hype" for the 4th game...

Talk about disconnect...not even gonna be in our own galaxy.  great plan

oh and this.  It's so stupid how a company (no bioware is far from the only ones that do it) can just put out a pretty trailer that shows NOTHING of the in-game itself and the drones begin to salivate and tout how awesome (or terrible) a game is gonna be.

We still literally know nothing about it other than it's in Andromeda...and the cutscenes will be pretty.

not anything at all to add hype.

EDIT; I mean no offense to anyone in particular (or anyone in this thread) just speaking generally.

The Andromeda galaxy is responsible for the constantly rising petrol prices.

Isn't this pretty much how teasers work? Heck, most teasers show even less than this.

I'm very curious but I don't get hyped. I've learned my lesson after ME3.

Also, without the Reapers, species from Andromeda should be SUPER advanced, I wonder how are they going to fix this plot hole..

Yeah.. apparently we're not playing the N7 in the trailer... because that would be far too simple to allow us to play as the same character 4 games running.....

The song in the trailer was kinda fun tho... especially the lyrics.  If you look at that kinda thing.

Oh and a Krogan in the trailer

and a turian

and a mako

meh

I was super-mega-preorder-drooling hyped for ME3. "TAKE MY MONEY! BODY IS READY!"

It didn't end well for me. I've learned my lesson. I might be an obsessed crazy fanboy but I'm going to still wait until we know more facts before letting my hype meter budge. Until then I'll just be sitting here preparing myself for all the dreadful day-one DLC announcements.

I don't doubt the game will be fun to play and very pretty to look at but I've always been more into the story of the Mass Effect series than anything else. So far nothing I've seen or heard has done anything to remove my skepticism of the story. If anything, the other galaxy approach has just damaged what little hope I had that the story would be relatively consistent with established lore...

That world didn't look alien enough to me.  It looks interesting, but man I wish it didn't look like Pandora.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and call BS on this thing you keep parroting.  :kissing:

Disconnect from what? There was only one constant between three games in our galaxy: Citadel. Apart from that, we spent little time on any other major world. In ME3, the Reapers were destroying the ones we visited. And the Citadel is hardly something that cannot be replicated in spirit -- just create some grand, bustling metropolis space-station in ME:A and you pretty much have it.

I was a little too hyped during the development of DA:I.  Thankfully, I enjoyed the game a lot, but it was a reminder to keep my perspectives in check.  It wasn't as bad as when I was hyped up about WoW: Cataclysm.  Talk about disappointment.  That was $120 for the Collector's Edition right down the drain.  <_<

I'm excited, but I'm not getting overhyped again.

Same. Went all out with the CE preorder and everything too. Doh.

I thought you liked it though.

So, I'm guessing the story is that the council and several of the ME3 governments put together an ARK mission to save the sentient Life of the galaxy... And they might have put that N7 guy in charge. A survival expert maybe.... We're playing Noah, the N7 space cowboy!

The Citadel archives showed that the Council was very much aware of the Reapers, they just didn't want to talk about it, maybe they were just afraid of causing undue panic and letting the Reapers learn of their backup plans.

And it was a secret mission that noone was told about, unless they needed to know, not even Shepard. No idea why Shepard would need to know anyway.

So they probably left Before the Reapers hit and knows nothing of what transpired. So that means they don't know if the Reapers won, if Destroy was used, or Low EMS destroy that pretty much wiped out all Life or Control or Synthesis. Because all that happend after they left.

The new galaxy might not be too happy to see refugees from "nowhere".

I guess I could nibble on that story, I'll miss the milkyway and all the fuzzy feels of home, but I guess an adventure is still an adventure! I hope it's good, who would want something bad anyway.

So they knew and believed completely, but let their planets be as weak as possible anyways.

I liked it better when Shepard was treated like Mulder... and only the shady cigarette smoking guy was his ally.

The council probably poured a lot of Resources into the ARK Project, it was probably a mammoth Project, it must have been driving Udina mad to have been left behind to die with the rest.
Probably explains why the Asari councilor was there to look for secrets in Udinas office, Council secrets that noone should get their Eyes on.

After hearing that thousands of cycles had failed to defend against the Reapers, I'm not sure how you sugest they should have pulled that off. Some Cycles were far more evolved and had several times the Resources this cycle had, and they still fell. It's kind of understandable. Even so they upgraded their fleets with Thanix cannons, built Stealth Dreadnaughts and setup new combat training programs and research.

The way Shepard wins in the end, it's just a.... well... Even a fleet ten times the size or strength couldn't have killed of all the Reapers in the Milkyway, the onnes you fight at Earth is just a small fraction of them, they are all over the Galaxy by the time you head back to Earth with the Crusible. The story was setup to end this way, or in a failure.
I just wish they had made the end mission more memorable. Least the EC provided some closure and after texts.
