The council probably poured a lot of Resources into the ARK Project, it was probably a mammoth Project, it must have been driving Udina mad to have been left behind to die with the rest.
Probably explains why the Asari councilor was there to look for secrets in Udinas office, Council secrets that noone should get their Eyes on.

After hearing that thousands of cycles had failed to defend against the Reapers, I'm not sure how you sugest they should have pulled that off. Some Cycles were far more evolved and had several times the Resources this cycle had, and they still fell. It's kind of understandable. Even so they upgraded their fleets with Thanix cannons, built Stealth Dreadnaughts and setup new combat training programs and research.

The way Shepard wins in the end, it's just a.... well... Even a fleet ten times the size or strength couldn't have killed of all the Reapers in the Milkyway, the onnes you fight at Earth is just a small fraction of them, they are all over the Galaxy by the time you head back to Earth with the Crusible.

Well.... that's a lot of speculation. :D

I'll just wait and see. I'm not thrilled about any of this so far.

the guy in the trailer we're not playing..... so it would fit that this was indeed the saviour (or otherwise depending on your choice) Sheploo himself.

You see it's ok to present a trailer at E3, but to then continue with this ambiguity asshat bs..ery is just so annoying.

Personally I prefer to build up a character from obscurity, and feel I made things happen, even if the game made it so it was still supposed to happen.

At some Point they said we would be playing someone different from Shepard, right now I don't know how different that will be.

I guess it's possible that guy in the Trailer is our new Nhilus character... We have had one of those Before.

We could start the game in the milkyway, building up the story, then fast spool forward to where we're in the Andromeda galaxy... So I guess there are many ways for them to do it.

2.57(ish) million light years away.  I wonder how they're gonna explain that one.  #spacemagic
