So Protheans confirmed right? Obvious Prothean style structures, enemies that look exactly like Prothean silhouettes, plus the supposed Prothean squad mate from the early images. Seems a pretty solid theory to me.

Protheans don't have legs bent like that. It's either a turian, a quarian or a geth. Or something completely new.

0:49-0:55 - The ship's apparent FTL journey looks a lot like a trip through a Relay, except no Relay was apparent.  This may indicate that the ship uses technology derived directly from the Relays - in effect, it was it's own Relay - and may explain how humans reached Andromeda in the first place - Fidete Nemini

Since most ships can travel within a star cluster without relays at FTL speeds, I'm thinking this is just the FTL effect in the Frostbite Engine.

0:13 - Some luminescent creature in the back

Spoiler

1:13 - Mako is called M-40. In the original trilogy it was M-35. There was also M-44 Hammerhead.

There wasn't really anything to see in that trailer, just fan service really (Mako! Sci Fi! N7! Galaxy Map! Dramatic action!)

Until they reveal precisely what is supposed to distinguish this from previous ME games I may just as well assume it's going to become a serial franchise like Mario or something without any big changes game to game.

I'm not saying they aren't doing something dramatically different right now but just one of these Hype! trailers that are so common these days.

Those enemies look vaguely like Protheans/Collectors and those structures at 1:25-1:26 rising from the ground look very Prothean as well.

1:28 on the right and the top some structural pieces that could be Prothean are seen as well (mostly the right one, overhanging bit is very vague).

I thought the same thing when I saw the trailer.

Very Prothean looking architechture.

That view of the desert planet before they land, reminds me an awful lot of Shepard of the intro video that plays in the original Mass Effect when they come in to orbit around Caleston.

EDIT: I was misremembering, though it still harkens me back to this trailer.

I'm lazy and didn't read the thread to see if somebody saw it but in the middle of the trailer when the N7 guy is walking towards us his "omni-tool" seems to be old and it's failling.

That can be a signal of the length of the trip to Andromeda with the tech breaking down because of old age.

My tip for ARKCON: Ark Consortium. As in, the consortium of species behind the ark project.

Also, the logo looks wormholey.

Not even they have legs bent that much. Those were Vorcha legs.

It looks like to me that well be clashing with species native to Andromeda.

If the leaks are true, which i believe they are now, the ones shown briefly in the trailer might be the species called "Khet", which was descibed as seemingly antagonistic. Likely a native race that doesnt take kindly to intruders and settlers from an alien galaxy, kinda like the native americans of old west, if the wild west theme is what were going for here.

Structures likely belong to the "remnants", which are the ancient race of andromeda from the leaks.

THIS!!!

A wormhole would be the only plaussible way within the Mass Effect lore for something to travel from one galaxy to another.

And yes, "Ark Consortium" makes a lot of sense. hmmm...

I like that the N7 trooper was scanning from his ship, multiple planets, differing locations and by a simple swish moves from one planet location to the next. Searching for resources? Medals? Corpses? Baddies? Choose location on planet, zoom FTL to said planet and location, deploy Mako, hop out of Mako, engage enemies using your carmax, omni-blade and jet pack.

What I'd love to know: what were the pointy blue/silver/white steeples shooting up from the ground? Underground cities in desert climate?

I don't care so much about the beetle...

A worm hole is indeed very possible, it could very easily solve and answer all the "errors" in the lore (like drive discharge for example).

The music ruined everything for me, what a horrible decision. Please, what the hell were they trying to do??

"I fly a starship
Across the universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again..."

I don't know I think Johnny Cash can be relevant to a space opera.

Those pointy steeples shooting from the ground remind me of Prothean architecture, like the ones in the From Ashes DLC or Javik's memory shard. It's possible proteins might return in some way.

Also, at 0:45, there seems to be moving dots on the "Galaxy Map". Ships found on radar or an orbiting planet?

Even though I wasn't crazy about the choice in music I can see what they were trying to do.

1. They were going for the surprise factor by trying to hold off on the reveal of what game it actually was until late in the trailer.

2. They were trying to lighten the mood of the franchise in relation to the exceedly grimdark ME3.

Those Khet structure thingy's are most likely some super ancient race or semi-sentient drone that lays underground in hibernation until somebody shows up.

You could be sitting there all happy and everything because you just found the perfect new planet to settle down on when BLAMMO!...outta freakin nowhere another one of those damn Khet spires pops up from the ground.

They are most likely remnant monoliths. From the leak...

Remnant Vault Raids: Ancient ruins in two variants. Standard: Accessed by finding and activating Remnant Monoliths, explored to find a "powerful artefact". Acquiring artefact triggers defence systems: robots, traps, and restructured layout. Rewards with valuable loot, crafting resources, and Star Keys.

Really? That's the only one I've seen to use Johnny Cash. Can you link them, I love his songs?  :)

If not pointed out by now: Prototype2's trailer used Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" by NIN.

Trying hard to be like call of duty trailers. I don't know why they feel the need, the music just did not fit. It's like one of halos recent trailers that tried the same. It's scifi, not modern or even semi modern. Then there's the culmination of the trailer which I suppose was chosen to captivate the 10 year old dudebro crowd with teh awesumz rocket pack punches yeh. Glad it isn't tied directly to the original trilogy, this game is already off to a bad start. They're still trying to market it to people who have no interest in it. Didn't have much in terms if expectations for this game, so I'm a bit indifferent towards it but can't help but notice the above.

Yes, they wanted to emulate CoD trailer and target dudebros. It's Not possible that the new game thematically fit with the Song.

With the music and the desert planet it reminded me a lot of Fallout. Wasteland - Lone hero - Unexpected discoveries.

Does anyone think that the enemies at around 1:30 are Turians?  They have Turian-like legs, though they are hard to see.

Some Alien race named "Khet" (nearly "Geth", I suppose) was mentioned in some previous (planned) leakages. And, BTW, the buildings emerging from beneath the surface would way better suit something Geth-like.
