On the desert planet, Anyone else think those towers being rapidly built looks awfully like the Eden Prime towers shown in the From Ashes DLC? O.o just wondering if anyone else noticed that.

ok so second day and im giving the trailer another shot
and im still mad
the music is so not mass effect they try giving it a what firefly feeling ? ( but thats not good when i want mass effect)
they had so long we got almost as much this time as last year
just in motion CG it's pointless
but alright the trailer ends with a
2016 releaes and a possible delay into 2017 and that just killed it for me
look at how fallout 4 is doing it reveal then a release same year
bioware/EA you could learn a thing or two from Bethesda!
Doesn't Bethesda usually release games that are buggier than the ArmA series on release?

Bethesda didn't reveal anything for about four years. Is that what you want?

Um, so you want them to be totally silent about it until E3 *next year* and then reveal a Holiday 2016 release?
Or... reveal it this year and release it half-finished?
Because those are the only two options in your scenario.
I'm more than happy to get some information now and much more later, and for them to have enough time to make it great before launch in 2016.

Did anyone find any interesting details in the trailer that others might've missed? Why don't we collect them here?
Note - the names of contributors are in bold next to their contribution. Thanks, guys! And thanks too to Vazgen, who provided screengrabs.
Some Facts
Here is the trailer
Spoiler
The song at the beginning is "Ghost Riders in the Sky" by Johnny Cash
Spoiler
Observations & Speculations
0:13 - There seems to be some sort of luminescent creature on the right of shot - Vazgen
Spoiler
0:24 - The first of the trailer's many Space Beetles can be seen in the middle of this shot - Vazgen
Spoiler
You can see a Space Beetle most clearly in this one - LucasIsCalling
Spoiler
Here are some of the others - LucasIsCalling
Spoiler
0:31 - Large flying creatures can be seen around the mountain
Spoiler
0:43 - There's a small golden globe at the bottom of the shot. It is reminisent of the small globe seen floating in the protagonist's hand in this bit of concept art:
Spoiler
0:45 - The ship the N7 trooper is presumably on makes a FTL trip (the destination is marked FTL Destination) - Vazgen
Spoiler
0:49-0:55 - The ship's apparent FTL journey looks a lot like a trip through a Relay, except no Relay is apparent. This may indicate that the ship uses technology derived directly from the Relays - in effect, it was it's own Relay - and may explain how humans reached Andromeda in the first place - Fidete Nemini. However, it may simply be how FTL jumps are portrayed in the new game - Sojourner83
1:03 - The N7 trooper seems to have a Carnifex - Nitrocuban. The design of the trooper's helmet looks like some sort of variation on the Capacitor or Kestrel helmets, with a completely closed upper section - Serza
Spoiler
Here are the Capatictor and Kestrel Helmets for comparison:
Spoiler
1:13 - The Mako charges down a hill. It is designated M-40; the original Mako was M-35 - Vazgen
Spoiler
1:19 - Some sort of horn or klaxon sounds. Is it a Reaper? - Fidite Nemini. Or is it a Collector or some other race?
1:27 - Two figures - one definitely Krogan, and the other a female human or Asari - can be seen running alongside the N7 trooper - Zehealingman. If the female is Asari, these two may be the characters Cora and Drack mentioned in the leaked market research - ElitePinecone. Note that the female is carrying a shotgun, which indicates she may be a Vanguard (since that's the signature weapon of that class) - Serza. If true it could be further evidence of the female being Asari, since it is a biotic class.
Spoiler
Spoiler
1:28 - The N7 trooper's sheilds break
Spoiler
1:30 - The enemies can be seen, but are hard to identify. What is easy to see is that they have the kind of backwards-bending legs seen a lot of the alien races in the ME universe. You can also see the light of the N7 Troopers rocket-jump system - Han Shot First. Note that the Omni-blade is active. This may be part of a heavy melee move, or it may indicate the blade can be activated at will.
Spoiler
female is human because she have human skin tone.

As soon as the second screen popped up I knew it was Mass Effect
I like Johnny Cash, but when hearing the song I was expecting the Lone Ranger to pop on screen and yell, Hi ho silver.
The screens moving side to side showing different planets was alright. I like the one with the dark atmosphere and lava.
Then zip through a wormhole or whatever. Not bad.
The armor and helmet look ok.
I like to have an assault weapon instead of a pistol.
Then it showed the Mako. Not bad. I wonder if it has a 454 big block hemi engine. Looks like I'll have fun driving that thing. Imagine having that in ME1. Haha
Seeing the character with jet packs like we saw Cerberus troopers have. I wonder if they saw my idea mentioning that in the idea thread?
The scene with the characters running reminded me of the beam run on London. Who will survive? Hahaha
The things coming out of the ground reminded me of this

Do you imagine if they went full Fire Emblem and each of your companions could die in any mission?

It's a turn based strategy game, where is unit you control in the map is a person/character. If you screw up and he/she ends up dying, then he/she is gone forever and will never return. If you want to make it through the game without losing people, you must really think each move you'll make, who you will bring with you, etc.. A light version of it was done in the Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2, but imagine if you could lose a squadmate on every mission? Legion gets Overload'ed or hacked and dies, Tali's suit breaks open in combat and she dies at the Normandy, Liara's biotics could not deal with those shields... That'll make it much more difficult and interesting. You'll have to think who to bring with you to each mission. Not sure if it would work pretty well in a game of this type thou.

"Cora" and "Drack"?
They're the two companions mentioned in the survey leak.
Probably. They'll liekly be used heavily in gameplay demos

Good luck, I said that on page 1. Actually, it was before my "Kestrel/Capacitor Helmet, Vanguard, Shotgun" post.

Also, the OP concluded that a Human Female seen next to an N7 trooper must be a fellow N7 - not entirely true.
It's likely, especially on a mission of the sort this likely is, but different Ns operate together. For example, the Alliance Spec Ops Team Delta (That's actually a war asset in ME3, and I personally think their roots may be in current-day Delta Force) has the majority of personnel with an N5 rating, with a few N6s, and presumably several N1-N4 designation troops. It doesn't speak of N7s, but that doesn't mean that no N7s are a part of the unit. We actually have remarkably little information about how exactly the chain of command works for N7s, but I'd guess it works the same way as N1 through N6. After all, N7s are pretty much N6s that have "survived in an admirable and effective fashion" during combat scenarios throughout the Galaxy.

Yes. 'N' is the specialisation designation for special forces in the Alliance military, and it stands to reason that there would be far more N1s, N2s etc than N7s.
(We also never learned what designation Kaidan or Ashley had, too, which was a shame.)
But it seems that by ME3 the word "N7" has come to mean any soldier fighting on behalf the galaxy against the Reapers, as we see squads of alien "N7s" commanded by an actual human one.
I suspect that in ME Andromeda they're going for a much wider use of the term, and it might even be symbolic - after all, if it's centuries after ME3 and in a new galaxy, what's to say there's still a Systems Alliance?

It's Johnny Cash tho.
That's what I am going to call my hero in this game if I play as a male thanks bioware for picking a name for me

I've spent many hours restarting and replaying missions because I had a character in a Fire Emblem game get killed.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but the song is a western play on the old Wild Hunt myth (the same one Witcher borrows). I don't know if they picked the song for flavor or the actual motifs in it though.

So essentially XCOM: Enemy Within, only in the Mass Effect universe.

I reckon it must have something to do with the major themes of the game - a new frontier, a lawless society, no strong central government, etc.
The survey leak talked a lot about outlaws and colonists fighting for resources, not to mention hostile 'natives' (in the khet?), etc.

I'm more inclined to agree with ElitePinecone. As you can see more clearly on the left side of the following official screen, those enemies are more bulky than Collectors, and have a different silouette.
In fact, the closest enemies they resemble are Brutes or Yahg, but they are neither.

The music ruined everything for me, what a horrible decision. Please, what the hell were they trying to do??
Seems to me like they're going for a space cowboy theme. Honestly, i like it. Are you not a fan of Firefly or Cowboy Bebop?
