If so, damn. I'm impressed, they look great.
Thank god for some new animations too.

I wouldn't hold them to that. It'll probably get a bit downgraded until release (but still look good).
That's what they want it to look, which most likely means it will look a worse than that, but not that much.
Those were most certainly not in game graphics. We're way to early for that.
"Represents our visual target for the final game"
A few years is a long time in the graphics industry, but getting to pre-rendered level? That's probably not happening.
I highly doubt it.
Thx gosh I'll move them with my future Intel Skylake + GTX 1000....
And for the skeptics, a dev confirmed it was all done by the game engine.
That was a cinematic trailer, meaning CGI and not in-game footage. With this in mind, the new blog post has this to say:
We built this trailer in Frostbite™, our game engine, and it represents our visual target for the final game. We are thrilled by what we’ve already been able to achieve in bringing Mass Effect to Frostbite and by putting our entire focus on PC and current gen consoles. With the time remaining in development, we’re excited about the possibility to push things even more.
So, they're targeting something along those lines. Whether or not they will pull it off is anyone's guess.
EDIT: Just came across this tweet by Gamble which seems to suggest it's in-engine:

We'll see if Battlefront can deliver the promised graphical fidelity. It's certainly possible the game will look like that.
The NfS gameplay looked amazing too.
Even anything similar to those graphics is great in my opinion. I'm mostly excited for better animations though.
i hope so. again, we are too early for that.

It's of-engine, I can factually guarantee you the XB1 version isn't going to look anything close to that in real-time. So "in-engine" is a slight misnomer.
In engine but not in game.
It's probably still going to look better than ME3, so, like, whatever, right?
Very right.
I think the graphics will be more or less as advertised. The Frostbite Engine is capable of a lot and considering that the Inquisition dev team probably learned a lot from it, I think they'll pull it off.

No games ever look as good as their CG trailers. That's just a fact of life.
Like I said, "more or less." Plus, I was more so referring to the pre-alpha test footage we've seen so far in trailers and video updates.
It's an in-engine trailer. Technically speaking those are in-game assets, textures, effects, etc. Still, it almost certainly has some post effects to make it look more cinematic, some new animations made exclusively for that specific trailer and maybe some more cool particle and light effects.
But, yes. It is more or less how the game will look. Just like Battlefront's first trailer, without the extra effects and animations the game does look like that.
MEA got real trouble if we count in the real time weather, day/night real time progress and the living enviroments. Anyway for the PS4 im going to be satisfied with a 1080p solid 30 fps regardless of the depth of the in-game textures.

Killzone 2 did... almost.
Its a visual goal but don't be surprised if it ends up looking worse than that on PS4/XB1 or even PC.
