After rewatching the trailer I noticed a giant flying creature in the background at around 30 seconds in the trailer.

If anything in the trailer was exciting, it was that. Truly exotic, alien life form is something Mass Effect has lacked with all their humanoid models. I hope there's more like it in the game.

It's not a monster, it's a lifeform :P

If you were expecting intelligence, you came to the wrong fanbase.

I really hope stuff like this will be in the final game, seeing that creature was probably the most amazing moment in the Trailer to me. Would be so cool to walk on a planet surface and actually discover a sight like that.

One of my favorite things about Overlord was stopping to watch those giant flying beasts way in the distance.

Are we really going to argue semantics?

Seriously, I'm stupid because I chose one word over the other? Yeah, ok. From the person who got upset because Bioware didn't listen to one piece of unrealistic feedback in the main topic.

The real question is: Can we shoot or romance it?

Gas bags big brother who comes looking for you because you shot all his buddies on eden prime.  (And don't deny it!  All of you shot one at least once!)

I don't approve of what he said.

And it's not about semantics, it's about the negative connotation "monster" has.

I always do. The first view of any anticipated trailer is filled with too much crying and squeeling.

If there's a KH3 trailer today I'll most likely be drowning in tears to the point I won't even notice the logo. KH music is enough to get me in an amazing mood.

If it attacks me then its a monster, and needs to die.

To me sci-fi is such an amazing genre for exploration. Fantasy games are mundane - its just varying degrees of "Earth". But sci-fi has so much potential.

Then in the same way, attacking someone in self-defense when they invade your home also makes you a monster, right?

Yeah, I think this has gotten past the point of no return. From the beginning something was made out of nothing, a select choice of words when the context should have been clear as day.

I get your point though.

Did it look like anything like a dragon? from Dragon Age? ;)  Just kidding a bit, of course ;) - but some people or lots of people have been saying that maybe the ME universe is actually the DA universe far in the future......

Ideally both.

Loved it, it had real wow factor for me during the trailer! I hope that it is more than just a cool backdrop to a planet and we see more of it (and similar) in-game.
