Not looking terrible is so far the only redeeming quality I see.

 

Don't get me wrong, I have moderate hopes for this to become a nice game and that Walker assault sounds like an interesting game mode (even though the actual gameplay could do well with those walkers not being on rail, or at least give the attacking team the option to select/branch different routes, otherwise it would be annoyingly predictable and pretty much straighforward linear, hugely favouring the defending faction if only because the attackers have no initiative at all) ... but the gameplay was nothing more than a show-off for the game's pretty graphics. The gameplay itself was cringeworthy, players running around with seemingly no plan, in the open, right in front of numerous enemies ... and said enemies not taking shots at what's the easiest kill you could possibly get without opponents actively committing suicide.

 

So far, all I get from the Star Wars Battlefront hype is: LOOK AT ME! I'M SO PRETTY!!! ALL THAT BLING!!! SHINY!!!

Maybe you missed that part if your stream went down like mine did a couple times, but they did say you can play the game solo against AI. Not sure if you still need a connection to the internet for that, but it's confirmedly not MP only.

Not going to dispute that, even though the particular gameplay footage presented just now is certainly on the higher scale of scrubbiness (low scrub equals less worse player, high scrub equals terribad player). Wouldn't even rate on the newby scale. BG

 

 

Oh. Well, "I don't have the means to play it" still covers my sad.

 

Sucks. Doubly so because EA appears to be trying to slap their Frostbite engine in everything, meaning lots of upcoming EA releases will likely end up on the same "can't run" list if you play on PC.

Can play split-screen with bots, though. That bit was nice. 4 player split screen would be perfect.

I wonder if DICE will be smart enough to add that in? At least the 2 player split screen from Battlefront II. I know online multiplayer is like the bee's knees now but split screen should definitely still be a thing.

 

They said it would have split screen on the presentation. They didn't say if it was 2 player split screen or 4, though.

Might get it for the bots. I don't do PvP anymore, not since GRAW 2, Chromehounds, Halo 3, and Gears 1.

Indeed it looks EPIC! Shame for the prequel era and space battles (which i hope they will add via DLCs).

Look fun , but those kind of demo. You're never going to experience teamwork/chemistry like this in a real game. Not happening. Everything that happens did because it was planed to make it happens like this. It make these kind of multiplayer game seem more than they are. I'm not against it, but... It's just annoying.
