Oh wow, I expected another BF4 DLC but this actually looks like Battlefront.
Colour me impressed... unless something goes horribly wrong I'm getting it on release day.

It now looks like Battlefront.
Not a particularly awesome Battlefront though. No preorder or anything yet. Open to more information in the coming months.
Looks great so far.
Let's go over all the lore breaking things in the video. The blasters are completely wrong
There were no Tie Figthers and X-wings duking it out at the Battle of Hoth. There were no Jetpacks (Rebellion probably couldn't afford to mass produce them as much as we'll see them) at the Battle of Hoth. The Empire calling in an Orbital Bombardment/Strike was impossible, because the shield generator was up. The whole point of the Battle of Hoth was that they couldn't Bombard it from space because of the shield generator. The portable shield generator that deflects the incoming shots wasn't a thing. Smart rockets were not a thing. Luke (in his Return of the Jedi outfit) vs. Vader wasn't a thing on Hoth.
I'm really confused as to how the game is canon; it should not have been marked as such. That said, the gameplay looks fun. I just hope that X-wings, Tie Fighters and Snow Speeders handle a lot better than the Jets and Helicopters did in Battlefield 3 and 4.
0:17 exact, same animation from the battlefield games... like exact same.
i realy hope they won't make battlefront3 into another medal of honor crap,
AWsome
H8ers gonna h8 and m8ers gonna m8.

It looks a hell of a lot like Battlefield to me. Lasers for bullets, but Battlefield nonetheless.
Yeah it looks like battlefield, and not in a good way. I'll give them credits for ignoring iron sights and having hero characters show up. That is pretty much it. The graphics are nice though, but DICE knows how to do that part atleast.

That's one of the things I haven't heard anything good about from those that played it on the show floor.
Clipping invisible walls, poor handling and little damage output... It doesn't sound too good right now. Hopefully they'll improve that a bit before launch.
Some more on the flyers here if you want a listen.

Yeah, I'd heard that people were having problems with being blown up despite not hitting anything. I think DICE claimed that the build we were shown was an alpha, so hopefully this ends up fixed before release. It doesn't matter much to me either way as I am not getting it at launch. I'm going to listen to feedback on it and wait for the "premium" edition that'll inevitably be released 6 months to a year later.
I've got Mad Max, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Hitman (whenever they release it on disc. The launch is going to be digital with them later releasing a disc version after all the dlc is out from my understanding) to hold me over.
I just know that I'm not going to buy a DICE game at launch and have them release a superior version for the same price on down the road with more content, again.
