Who @Bioware thought that country music fits to a Mass Effect game???

I was really confused after watching the official trailer and I had to remake it.

edit: Dont get me wrong. Johnny Chash is a great artist. Nobody denies that, he just doesnt fit in the ME Universe.

 

Mass Effect music ALWAYS makes my skin crawl. Too many great memories in the fantastic ME World. If you like Jonny Cash and you think his music fits to the ME universe just watch the original official trailer. I'll keep watching this one until it comes out next year

The problem with that trailer is that from the first moment people would realize it's a Mass Effect game. The cool thing about the "true" one is that it keep you guessing for a little while.

First of all: Cowboy Bebop is awesome.

 

Secondly: Cowboy Bebop features many different styles of music, they use country for maybe one episode.

 

Thirdly: Johnny Cash is great but yeah, I'm not hyped about him doing a sci-fi soundtrack... although western & space worked really well for Firefly. I don't think much of the game will be country-ish though.

Okay, first, it's not "Cowboy Bob" music, whatever the hell that is.  It's Johnny Cash.  Once of the four or five most influential musicians of the twentieth century.  Second, it's a trailer.  None of the Two Steps From Hell music used in any of the trailers for the Trilogy actually made it into the game, so calm down.

 

Also, it's Johnny Cash.  Show some respect.  Seriously.

Good music choice, OP! It sync'd well with the trailer. I think they used Johnny Cash just to keep people guessing until the end.

ME:A's going to have its own soundtrack, just as ME1, ME2, and ME3 did.  Throwing modern-day music into a game set almost 200 years into the future doesn't make sense, imo.

 

Besides; WHY.  DOES.  IT.  MATTER?  It's just music for a trailer.  Take a chill pill.  Or 5.  Geez...

I'm not a fan of country music either, but I felt that the song fit with the feel of the trailer as a whole.  Especially with the environment of the planet shown and the fighting style of the N7 character.  Still, I think it's odd that said N7 character isn't the protag.

Honestly, I thought the cinematic trailer to ME:2 with that song from Two Steps From Hell was the best trailer BioWare ever did.

You know, I just care about ME and I want an awesome new soundtrack. A remix of ME1-3 soundtracks. But watching the new teaser with country music just pisses me of. It feels completley misplaced.
