first: calm down guys - Its a trailer

and

second: calm down guys - seriously, its a remake of a trialer and a wish of a fan.

The responses in the thread are a little bit exaggerated

reported for not preferring superior country music to generic ambient sounds

You know, I just care about ME and I want an awesome new soundtrack. A remix of ME1-3 soundtracks. But watching the new teaser with country music just pisses me of. It feels completley misplaced.

I couldn't agree more. The choice of music was absolutely horrible. We don't want Cowboys and Aliens.

Dat kneejerk reaction.

I may be a minority with this, but when I heard country music, I immediately thought wild west, manifest destiny and how fitting that tune felt for the premise of the game as we know it so far.

Also, why do people think that the trailer music is in any way related to the actual game soundtrack? ME2 and ME3 trailers had music from Two Steps From Hell, but TSFH didn't make the soundtrack for those games either. Calm down people, calm down. That also goes for the people kneejerking in response to the kneejerk. Let's not make this a vicious circle, that's bad for your knees!

Sorry I never wanted to insult Jonny Chash or Cowboy Bebop.

Definitely wasn't expecting to read this today.

It was never my intention to hurt anyones fanboism to those characters. They just dont fit in the ME universe  ^_^

This is not Firefly!

Would it hurt to lump a little (more) Whedon into ME:A?

Funnily enough, after Citadel I kept hearing people say that a Firefly-esque tone and crew would make a nice one-shot ME4 game.

I agreed with them!

*absently wondering if that were a bad thing*

Dips on Jaine SS/LI. We'll be in our bunk.

Some people are so afraid of something different. You can add something new to something already established and have it still be good. It's innovation, man.

I loved that they put Johnny Cash in the trailer. It was a bold, risky move and they pulled it off perfectly. If this game is going to involve a good bit of space exploration then I say it makes sense. Cowboys were rugged explorers and adventures. And as a Mass Effect and Firefly fan this trailer makes me very, VERY happy. That's just my opinion and I'm entitled to it as much as I disagree with yours. I used to be the same way about music, despised anything I didn't think was 'cool'. Open your ears and get some taste, because variety is the spice of life. No one in the galaxy is too good for some good ol' Johnny Cash. ;)

PS Your edit was good I just prefer the original because BioWare did something new and different

I loved Firefly. Really, I did. I was sad that they just made one season. But it still doesnt fit in my humble opinion.

I would love a new ME:A soundtrack, but not Jonny Cash... sorry

Oh for the LOVE OF ... the responses are by far too funny! and somewhat mean.

I like the song. It felt odd at first. but again, (i've said already), i think it contains hints for us to speculate about the plot of the story.

Chew on it (like tobacco) or whatever... Bioware is just being Bioware.

Yep OP that music fits so much better. Cowboy music throw me so off-guard that I had no idea I was watching ME trailer before I saw N7.

I think that was part of the purpose of the music choice.

Honestly? The music was perfect. And it has to taste differently. Mass Effect Andromeda is not about Shepard's story. The music has to be different from the trilogy.

With the music at the original trailer I half expected Jim Raynor to come out and say some cheesy one liner related to the Zerg :P Appearantly the game is set in the Caprulu Sector :P

I think the music was a big taste of something new and unexpected, probably the mindset Bioware wants us to have for Andromeda.

But still feels misplaced. Regardless.

The facial expression of your avatar kind of fits with your feelings on all of this. :P

I liked the song. I like Johnny Cash. Do I automatically think that MEA's soundtrack is going to be country specific? No.

This was beautiful.

Thank you very much, OP. I still have trauma from that original music.  (I'm guessing some high-up guy ordered his favorite song and the devs couldn't refuse).

(I was so bored by the Firefly movie. If the original show was canceled, I can understand why).

Thanks OP

I agree with you with country music feeling off. Hope for more MEish feel for the next trailer...this while making me excited about the next game left me slightly down with the music. I simply don't find sci-fi and country music feeling well together.
