Did Sony announce backward compatibility too? lol
I think backward compatibility will only make it easier to release a remastered version.
Tho i don't care about any console stuff unless PC gets a share,even if they would remake the entire trilogy into one big game with Frostbite 3 lol.

Most ME fans ARE NOT pc gamers but Xbox/PS owners.

 

Those 256k textures will look great in 1080p. I'm just saying the best way to do it would be to overhaul it entirely.

They have a streaming service that they monetized called PlayStation Now that streams the games and delivers a rather lackluster experience. Microsoft is using emulation and it's free. I'm really interested to see how Sony counters this since the latter option is superior in every way and you don't have to pay for it.

What irritates me is that Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls are getting remasters, Dishonored is getting a remaster... these are good games but they aren't mega blockbusters that most people will buy twice. Mass Effect is, and its not getting a remaster.

They'll take the time to rehash everything possible, but they won't the time to actually do something worthwhile to people. Because we all can't wait to get our hands on the next Madden game, which will just be like every other madden game save for miniscule changes.

I had no idea that the internet was a thing. Thanks for letting me know. Please drop me a line when console games (physical or digital) ever go on sale to the extent that they do for PC games. That doesn't happen.

And yes, we're still talking about games. I'd be surprised if exclusives actually sell that many consoles. They'd always be better off released cross-platform, but there's nothing I can do about that. I'll just continue to advocate for the platform that will essentially play every game from the last 30 years. And you'll continue to be deliberately obtuse.

It's essentially tricking the OS into thinking it's a 360 system. More details here:

Given the different architectures of the two systems, this is as backward compatible as it the One can get. And it's a really neat solution.

It's fine. Access on XB1 solves the matter.
A SP replay in summer 16 will be nice.
