We never did get enough of the charming Liara in the original trilogy (one of the most glaring problems with those games) and we deserve a second chance with Liara in the new game.

Trying to fit existing characters into the new game would require extremely creative writing... I'd bet the story would suffer for it. And what for? So we get someone we know already?

IB4 somebody comes up with the theory that the "vision" Liara shows Shepard at the end of ME 3 was a vision of Andromeda...
Liara is my favorite. And please Bioware, nobody from Shepard Trilogy need be in ME:A
