I liked Liara, but as far as a return...

I thought the reason they moved the franchise in the future a few hundred years and into a new galaxy was to escape the old crew?
Maybe Shepard (Who totally survives rocks falling on his/her head) and Liara could chase the new crew in the walkers and shout you'll never escape from us you young louts or something.
This better be a troll thread.
I mean I like Liara as much as the next person but I do not want to see her or anyone else from the original trilogy ever again. This includes my favorite character Garrus Vakarian. And you have no idea how much I love Garrus. ![]()
By the goddess...
No. Thanks.

Given the extreme reactions that Liara creates, you HAD to have expected people would come in here and state unequivocally that there is no way that they want Liara in the new game. I mean it really wasn't that long ago that we couldn't go more than a month without a thread popping up about how 'Liara was shoved in our face' and 'there's too much Liara in my games' and 'I AM NOT ROMANCING LIARA SHE'S A CREEPY STALKER!' (I may be exaggerating for effect.) Realistically, this response was inevitable, no matter what you said at the start of the post. You ask for a character who creates this polarization to reappear, you're putting up a neon sign drawing in the people who want to say 'HELL NO NOT HAPPENING.'
Regardless, let's really go clean slate here. No cameos from old characters, no appearances from old squadmates, and that absolutely includes Liara. AT MOST, I could accept an appearance from the Shadow Broker, but that is a role - Liara has no reason to reveal herself to anyone not-Shepard and crew, so it would be a shrouded figure with a disguised voice that people could debate about being Liara. That's the extent of what I could accept as a 'Liara appearance' in Andromeda.
I love Liara. She was my favorite LI in the entire trilogy and I even stayed faithful to her in ME2. Having said that though it's time to move on. She is there for Shepard and it's time for a new Asari to take her place in our new story with the new hero.
To be serious for just a second:
In a new galaxy in a new setting in a time far past the story of The Shepard, the only chance of Liara appearing would be in one of her emergency 'failure' messages she sets out towards planets that look like they could foster the development of space-faring species. . .but those were pointed towards Milky Way Planets so unless she missed (which would amuse me greatly that the great Liara missed) I don't see that happening either.
Now back to your regularly scheduled Broganissity.
I had an asari once - she was blue...

So what? We aren't fans because we don't want Liara in ME:A?
I like her, too. But the new setting is set far in the future, so "your" Liara doesn't exist anymore. At best she'd be a matriarch. Most likely she's dead.
Speaking of dead: Liara surviving is not canon because depending on your playthrough she can die. As can pretty much everyone else, too. Now please explain how Liara is still alive in ME:A if she died during ME3?
So keep your fangasms in your pants and think before you try to invalidate our posts with your non-argument.

I like Liara. Whenever i replay the ME trilogy that is usually the path being taken.
However I also think that reusing characters just for fan pandering is going to hamstring the narrative.

OMG!!!! Hope i won't see Liara anywhere near MEA. It will be a complete nightmare.
I was talking with my little brother monthes ago. About the possibility of having one of the non human character from ME in MEA. The only female i may wanna see is EDI.
it wouldn't fit thematically into the new game, this one obviously steps outside the milky way and as far away from the problems of ME3 as it can so including liara in it would make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I think I've had enough of this omnipresent character.
And no, making a new writer's pet asari to replace her is not an option.

Well that's entirely up to the writer (and not you) isn't it? Mac is still leading just saying
noo I would be depressed if I see any character from orginal trilogy. They would probably dead or very old. Please No

Mac's not in the writing team.
And actually, last week (I think) a person pointed out to me that Mac's favourite character is Garrus, Not Liara.
Who he wrote, I'd point out. Did Mac also write Liara? I can't remember.
