Mac's not in the writing team.
And actually, last week (I think) a person pointed out to me that Mac's favourite character is Garrus, Not Liara.

Well he is the creative lead, still quite influent. However the whole point on my post is let's just not make demands on BW and let them write what they want.

Who he wrote, I'd point out. Did Mac also write Liara? I can't remember.

I don't know. I actually know little of which writers wrote which chaeacter. I'd like to know though.

I agree on this.

I support this. Mostly because I want to see certain people frothing madly :P And because I think the butthurt from Liara haters would be delicious.

Yes, I'm mean, why do you ask?

On a somewhat serious notice... I'm a big Liara fan, as you may have gathered by my avatar. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to seeing her again. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to romancing her again. But what with new galaxy and all of that... the chances are slim. And I'm pretty cool with that as well.

Nope. No returning squad mates or secondary characters. I'm fine with the subtle ones, for example Conrad Vernor who wasn't in any way critical but anyone that was needs to be left behind. Introduce a whole contingent of new characters that are interesting and wonderful, but no old characters. This isn't Mass Effect 4.

Well, it's Bioware after all, at this point they could even do this and I would not even be surprised.

I'm not the biggest Liara fan actually -- in fact, I can't stand the ubiquity -- but I wouldn't mind seeing her. It's too bad that other long lived companions are less reliable in being around (I'm sure Aria is close to matriarch age as it is.. And Samara, Grunt, and Wrex can be killed).

I can only see her coming back through Shadow Broker Agents if the game is set in her lifespan.  Would be amusing running into an agent on the ship and they are dodging questions about who the Shadow Broker really is when the player already knows.  So a reference of her but no actual appearance.

At E3 Microsoft announced the Xbox One will have backwards compatibility for 360 games.

As an X1 Preview Member I get early access to this so I can effectively beta test it before it hits for everyone else later in the year.

Today, I might just boot up the original Mass Effect and start playing it again, running into good ol Liara.

But thats it;Liara should remain in the original trilogy. A new Mass Effect series should be built with its own cast of incredible characters without any of the older ones making an appearance.

References are nice, but appearances would be too much I think.

I like Liara a lot (and the entire cast for that matter), but I hope Andromeda is completely standalone in terms of its characters. I want the Andromeda cast to be on their own without connections to the Trilogy's characters, so no overlap appearances. References yes, appearances no thank you. Just my two cents.

I had nothing against her in ME1 or ME2 but I didn't care but in ME3 I started to feel sour towards her character. Just keep her out of Andromeda, Bioware. We've had enough of her.

For a franchise it is sometimes quite nice to have some continuity in the form of a recurring character...but I don't think it should be Liara. Or anyone for the matter, in this case.

Nope. Sorry. Would rather see more Garrus and Tali.

Or even ZAEED MO...FU...ING MASSANI - but that's not happening.

I mean, I love Liara, she's my canon LI, but I dare say nope. I love majority of the characters. Wrex is probably sniffing the flowers from six feet under, natural causes or not (face it, he was nearing a thousand in the original trilogy, which is pretty much the Krogan lifespan) and Grunt is probably off somewhere being The Ultimate Krogan.

So that's the other two squad members with a thousand years lifespan out, and Liara would do fine as a small cameo.

Nope. Just bring in a Turian Bro, and a Quarian Sis (or hell, switch that out for a Turian Sis and a Quarian Bro, I don't care) so I can have a Team Dextro, and I'm happy.

Sure, lets bring Liara into MEA, and prove once and for all that she's that unkillable.

Sure, but only if she shows up as a villain who is super crazy because either Shepard never romanced her or being lonely without a Shepard that romanced her.

So what? We aren't fans because we don't want Liara in ME:A?

I like her, too. But the new setting is set far in the future, so "your" Liara doesn't exist anymore. At best she'd be a matriarch. Most likely she's dead.

Speaking of dead: Liara surviving is not canon because depending on your playthrough she can die. As can pretty much everyone else, too. Now please explain how Liara is still alive in ME:A if she died during ME3?

So keep your fangasms in your pants and think before you try to invalidate our posts with your non-argument.

Your talking about somethings you and i don't know, another thing she's alive in my story so please s$%t up

That's funny. Most here are fans and don't want her.

I'm not a big fan, and I'm nice enough that I wouldn't mind seeing her. The world isn't as simple as you think. ;)

Seriously though, she seems a good candidate, if they bother doing anything like this at all.

I liked Liara, but don't think she will/should play a role in this Mass Effect installment. I just don't see how she would fit in at all.

Lista fans Are sharing their opinion of Not wanting her.
Beside, no matter What one writes in the OP people can still express their negative opinions. If someone wants to prevent this, they can form a private group.

they or i, we're not going to prevent anything, the bioware team has a vision and they will full it, they have spaces like this is to see the reaction of people ... or get some ideas

Gods, no.

I love Garrus Vakarian to bits and I don't want him to return, either. Let the old characters retire in peace.

AT MOST, I could accept an appearance from the Shadow Broker, but that is a role - Liara has no reason to reveal herself to anyone not-Shepard and crew, so it would be a shrouded figure with a disguised voice that people could debate about being Liara. That's the extent of what I could accept as a 'Liara appearance' in Andromeda.

That would actually be kind of cool, though I'm not sure it would work with Andromeda. I think the Shadow Broker should probably remain in Council space. If fan speculation pans out and the Andromeda colonists set out during the Reaper War, it would also be impossible for Liara to be one of the colonists.

In Mass Effect 1 she was written by Drew Karpyshyn and in Mass Effect 3 by Sylvia Feketekuty. In Lair of the Shadow Broker she was written by Patrick Weekes and Sylvia. Not sure about vanilla ME2, though that disappointing cameo she had prior to the LotSB DLC was nothing to rave about. The only thing that scene had going for it was that it was better than the Virmire Survivor's cameo.
