Krogan being confirmed is already a retcon and slap to the face of anyone who saved rachni and sabotaged the genophage. The concept of entire races composed of millions to billons of beings getting rendered extinct by single R-B choices was stupid anyway, and I'm glad they've already shown a willingness to ignore it.

How Were the rachni and Krogan choices related to each other?

I didn't know this. It's frankly stupid.

Well, if the Krogan go extinct, the Rachni are the only species capable of surviving (and thriving) on Tuchanka.

Sort of makes sense. The Krogan were the only ones capable of surviving the Rachni homeworlds.

The drell are just as if not rarer than the quarians

That's just like your opinion. There were hundreds of thousands drells two centuries ago, but all this time they had homeworld, no population growth limits and are free to move to another worlds.

they can equally go extinct if you don't save the Hanar homeworld in Bau's mission.

Fair enough, but that's not their only world.

plenty of batarians made it out of Hegemony space because we still see them everywhere

Refugees can't provide much to building of the ark ship, thus making their saving a pure charity.

Hell, Earth is barbecued in low EMS destroy, which would render humans an endangered species as well.

That doesn't matter, colonists must be on their way long before this.

It's not this that I found stupid. It's the need to show rachni of Tuchanka. They could go in any planet they want.

But the Genophage doesnt aim to make them extinct, it was designed to make their population very small.
Dont know why people think they are extinct, they can be a endangered species if you sabotaged the cure but not extinct.

your entire shitpost was and is again your opinion. The fact that the krogan are back is a hard retcon for more than one potential outcome, end of. There's no reason they can't do the same for anyone else apart from you making up excuses to suit your preferences of who you want to stay or not.

asari and turians as "core species" ROFL. What would ME do without its gratuitous female strippers and generic militarists? I'd prefer that the Council species were all eaten by krogan for being fools, but that doesn't make it a valid outcome. There's no real logical reason for anyone to disappear, other than writer laziness.

Since Wrex in ME1 it's practically bludgeoned into your skull by every major krogan character in the series that they are killing themselves to exinction because of the social consequences of the Genophage, not that the disease itself is killing them.

Not that I'm saying I disagree, but every other species has a similar potential excuse. Drell have the members in offworld professions, Rachni have already survived potentially three "extinctions", quarians have the exile community. Geth were so numerous and widespread that the idea they could be completely wiped out in a single battle or three week war is just idiotic.

I didn't know that Rachni/Krogan thing either o.O

Uh, I guess I just hope Bioware saves all races with retcons. If not all at least Drell and quarians, no other reason that I like them.

Somehow I'm excepting that Geth have died.. maybe because I'm assuming ME:A is going to make destroy ending canon taking how it seems to be most popular one. Though if they live too it'd be great (Legion ;__; ), but not counting on it.

Yes they have, with the exception of the Geth (there is no way to them to survive the destroy ending, but you can save a few juggernauts and destroy the others Geth for example), and it still not a retcon.

I already explained how it's not.

Yep, they are. There is a reason why they are in the council.

They do if you sabotage the cure. That's what the entire damn conversation is counting on.

Uh... I'm not sure if I should find it nice that someone agrees, or creepy because it sounds weird.

damn right

yeah and your explanation was fail and basically boiled down to,"because I like them".

since when is the Council "core" to anything? They aren't even really in the 2nd game for example. It's just one of many political organizations in the series universe.

Most will stay.

However, if corners are cut, I could very well see a species like Drell or Quarians or Geth. If only due to a lack of importance to this plot.

I feel that Bioware wants to make better use of Hanar/Volus/Elcor, so I'd actually be surprised if they're all not included. Maybe 1-2 of them cut out.

My hope is that Bioware can find a way for all to be included.

I feel like Quarians are the only Milky Way Race to have an excuse to show up in Andromeda, since they are known drifters to begin with.

We don't really know the how and the why of being in Andromeda yet.

Hopefully it will be a reason that justifies having multiple species from the milky way go, to mix up some familiar with the inevitable new aliens of Andromeda.

Well, that one leak about the small conference they had mentioned at least two new races: one being bulky, golem-like beings and the other being somewhat skeletal in appearance.

The problem is two-fold. The first is the reaction of their society to the genophage, but the second and more important factor is the reaper war. Even if some make it through the war with the genophage sabotaged, they may be rendered functionally extinct, since the remainder may not be sustainable.
