While the trailer didn't show much, I think there was a huge bird of some sort flying through one of the worlds; I think more wildlife would be a great addition.

I'm very much interested in having more alien involvement; whether they be playable characters, squadmates, new alien races or new alien planets to explore, this game should capitalize where the last game just scratched the surface.

Naturally, for those that know me, I'd like to see a new Multiplayer, but that can wait.

Well the N7 character in the trailer is apparently not the PC, so will be interesting to know who it is

Maybe the N7 character is a squad mate.

I'm not worried. I'm so excited.  :D

Maybe, but if that person is N7 instead of the player, I doubt it's going to be as simple as a general BioWare subservient squadmate.

Maybe a mentor or something.

Mentor would be good.

I wonder if they're going to be the one kickstarting the plot.

I wouldn't mind a redo of an N7 antagonist.

Well we never really had an N7 antagonist

Kai Lame was ex-N7 :P

I don't have time for your semantics. I have a game to be excessively excited about.

How, why and when we got to Andromeda is very important to me. What came from the milky way with us ie which races, characters etc. Depending on the answer, that might open up more questions.

Other than that I am mainly interested in gameplay now. What skills there are, what some of the enemies are etc. What the multiplayer modes are like. I don't want to see who our companions are or anything.

I kinda don't care after the announcement of only a human as a race choice. The game had so much potential but now we are back to playing Shepard 2.0 with the Mako all over again...

Just because we're a human again we're automatically Shepard 2.0? What? Come on, this is pathetic. Stop being so negative. We barely know anything about this game, even less of the characters.

We are a person trained in combat and commander of a ship trying to establish humanity's presence in a galaxy in which we are the new kids on the block, and will get sucked into something bigger than ourselves.

Yeah, doesn't sound like Shepard at all.

That doesn't make our character Shepard 2.0

Wait six months, then you'll find out.

As for what I want: Pizza Ninjas. And also better controls for the Mako.

So until more information is revealed, nobody can argue that this new character isn't a Shepard 2.0.

At the moment, we have data supporting the notion and no data disproving the notion.

No, we have your intpretation of non-existent evidence as to the new guy being Shepard 2.0. The only actual evidence we have on the character is that they aren't the N7 in the trailer, and they're human.

That's what we call 'insufficient data'.

Are you serious? How am I supposed to tell you how a character that we know absolutly nothing about and a character that we know pretty much everything about are different?

I can't make a comparison if I know nothing about MEA's protagonist.

EDIT: Ninja'd

What I wrote in my post are all things that have been confirmed by Bioware, so it is sufficient data. Our character is:

Human

Has combat training

In a military

commands a ship

Helping establish humanity's presence in an unfamiliar galaxy

And they will get involved in something bigger than themselves, because that's how RPGs work.

The third one hasn't been confirmed as far as I know, and the fifth would be the opposite of ME and Shepard.

That's describing darn near every sci-fi RPG character ever, so no.

It's still insufficient data. We know nothing about this new character, nothing. No name, no backstory, no larger context with which to put them in. Heck, we don't even know what the Milky Way looks like, never mind this brand new galaxy.

You're projecting and you know it.

New ME:A character is nothing, not even real yet. A ghost, a cypher. Meaningless until the game is actually in our hands. And that alone differs them from Shepard who is real, whom we have actually played with and created.

You are using military equipment. You are in a military. Shepard helped establish humanity's place in an unfamiliar galaxy. That was even used in some of the promotional material for ME1. In another thread you argued exactly that when arguing ME1 was the most human-centric of the Shepard Trilogy games.
