I really, really want a batarian. And a female turian. And a krogan, because they are awesome. And a quarian. I also hope we get to see some new species, really excited about that.

And about the krogan, considering that without Shepard or Mordin, the genophage  most likely wouldn't have been cured, i hope the krogan is either named Shepard or Mordin and is a descendant from Wrex and Bakara. Just me?

I really, really hope we do not get any descendants or familiar names and faces. I want a complete fresh start, not more of the same.

Honestly, for ME:A to avoid canonizing an ending it would have to have started before the end of the cycle and it can not feature anyone who could have died in the trilogy or their kids. That means... in some playthroughs Wrex doesn't even get recruited. In some he dies on Virmire. In others he dies in ME3 because you betrayed him. If you didn't do everything just right, then Bakara dies, too.

There is no way ME:A could feature their kid without invalidating many, many endings.

I was actually referring to mixed classes like Garrus and Thane lol

Sentinels and Vanguards are hybrids but they're also main classes too :P

Ah, gotcha.

What would you think about more elaborate personalized skill trees, like the ones in DA2? Could that work in the ME setting?

Perhaps it can be similar to Dragon Age: Inquisition, and by that I mean that you get to create a world state that changes the world around you. Shepard/Mordin the krogan doesn't have to be a companion, just some minor character you meet if you fulfilled the necessary conditions. After all, the old games have always had something similar to this, and I always thought it was fun to see the game referencing the previous game(s). I don't want to see any of the old characters, but some references would be nice.

I'd really like it if my world state is alluded to. It would mean a lot that it isn't just some vague, distant mythical thing. "The Shepard saved the galaxy (or didn't), the end."

Statues of characters who played a big role in the war, in our world state, would be pretty cool.

I almost always pick Control as ending... how would they explain all the Reapers in ME:A? ^^

I have no idea how they're going to account for this, but I'm trying to temper my hopes for receiving plausible explanations. I found most of the developments in DAI a bit lacking, especially when it comes to Red Lyrium. It used to be scary to me in DA2, and DAI just drove it into the ground.

Literally, it was everywhere, and for all the havoc it caused it didn't seem to be quite what it was supposed to.

I have concerns for how the Reapers can play a part in this story without them continually losing more and more of their menace.

I wouldn't mind squadmates having their own skills

Alright, this is how I'd break down the squad, assuming the leak is accurate and we'll have a 7-man team.

N7 Fury adept.

Talon Mercenary engineer.

Asari Huntress infiltrator.

Krogan Warlord sentinel.

Batarian soldier.

Turian Cabal vanguard.

Andromeda native taking up the seventh spot.

Expanding on all these classes, re-balancing as necessary. Quarian, volus, drell, and geth characters to take up non-combat roles on the ship.

Alternatively.

Krogan Shaman adept.

Vorcha Hunter engineer.

N7 Shadow infiltrator.

N7 Paladin sentinel.

Turian Havoc soldier.

Batarian Brawler vanguard.

Take the Asari and put her on the bench with the others.

Really, I could go through a few more lists. Kind of want a Project Phoenix on the team now...

Just when I think I've made up my mind.

So I'm really behind on this but I just played the Bring Down the Sky DLC for the first time tonight and after playing it I would actually be pretty interested in getting a Batarian companion.

As I mentioned a few time earlier I would like a really small squad for Andromeda. No more than four/five permanent companions, with about an equal number of temporary squadmembers for specific missions/arcs. With regards to squad composition I'd like to see the following:

Human male,

Turian Female

Salarian Male

New Alien Male

New Alien Female

So what if we could take more than two squadmates on a mission?

That would instantly make a bigger squad make sense, wouldn't it? Maybe even use all our squadmates on a mission in different teams like we did in Citadel DLC.

Romance-wise, I'd like a bisexual human Male, and a bisexual human Female.

Then a straight male of any race, straight Female of any race, gay Male of any race, gay Female of any race.

Beyond that, I'd like another Krogan (of either gender), a Female Turian, and an entirely new race.

The one thing missing is Liara and Shepard's daughter....unless she had the secret love child during the two years Shepard was dead and her older cousin was raising her.

There are so many possibilities for companions. I have a question though: will there be advisors like Cullen & Josephine, who are stationed on our ship/main colony, but play a major role in our story as a pathfinder and/or will be LIs? They said they use DA:I as a pattern (if i remember correctly, if not: you never read this xD.) so what will we get? Or will there be the typicial ME-flair with the 7 squad members?

As squadmembers/companions (attention: stereotypes ahead) i like to have a female turian or salarian, class doesn't matter for me here. A turian with a cheerful personality like Talis' and a Salarian with a quiet sarcastic nature like Morrigan would be awesome. But i think a stern, rightous, battlehardened and loyal personality like Cassandras' or Brienne of Tarths' would be fine, too.

I am fine with Drack as a male krogan (would be quiet interesting, if he is the untypical krogan, cowardly, sensitive, nerdy and gentle who wants to find courage and his fighting spirits. Something like self discovery as a theme). Or he is the machoman, who has to be tamed oO.

I have the feeling that we'll have 2 human companions (male or female) or a human male and a female asari. I don't know why, but this space cowboy n7 guy from the teaser reminded me a little bit of James Vega (but i can't say why oO). Maybe he is a mix between Anthony DiNozzo from NCIS and Roland from Stephen King's The Dark Tower.  I can live with a Zaeed - like type, too. Or with a  good old Clint Eastwood like mentor guy. Or we'll get a  Dorian comeback (other name, other background, same character traits). Or a human Javik. Or....

Cora, hm. A greece name for maiden or virgin. Could be a soft and gentle person like Liara or Tali - or a second Morrigan/Morinth as ironic counterparts. Or a manipulative ice queen biotic. Or hot tempered, self confident, brash & direct, but very observant and emotional.

"Cora" could be a human female, a female asari and i think it could fit a female turian as well. A female turian with biotics? Why not :) Is something special, i think. And different is always interesting.

A quarian headhunter/ scavenger/ engineer/ treasure hunter/sentinel/ex-soldier would be interesting. But male. Personality? I don't know, but it has to fit in the squad. He could be a badass, a lonesome warrior, a gentleman, a leader, a slob or a cowardly loudmouth, who just barks, not bite. Or has a strange codex for a quarian. Maybe he got exiled from the fleet or something like that.

Would be quite funny if we discover, that in the andromeda galaxy male asari exist or the counterparts to the asari as males.

As new species, besides the Remnants, why not Ovavores or Raloi. Latter ones got the chance to meet up with the asari (i walked around the spectre room on the Citadel in ME3, as the news said this). That was after the asari councel president refused to be part of the rescue team for earth. That would be quiet interesting. Other natives from Andromeda, that we never heard off before would be nice, too.

Sorry for my bad english :/.

I really just want squadmates that will be fleshed out so that number doesn't matter to me just want them to actually be people. With that being said I would like them to have a couple of new Alien species to be in our party to use, you know tap the new Galaxy with a few Alien species that might be rebelling against The Remnant or whatever the baddies are lol.

I probably just want one human in the Squad for use but maybe side characters that can be Romanced that fills the gender role the other isn't.

If the game gives us a lot of squadmates like in ME2, I hope they are fleshed out and we actually have to use them beyond just a loyalty mission. I want every squad person to actually feel like they are there for a reason.

I want a cute female drell engineer who's extremely interested in "ancient" human culture (read: our time right now) and wears dirty (human) denim overalls as casual wear. (And a onesie as sleepwear!) And she likes to blow things up. And she builds little robots for fun. Oh and because I'm calling dibs on her romance she's either gay or bisexual.

Bit like Tali without the whole quarian culture thing.

In a perfect world, I'd be able to post a 'No Quarians or Krogans allowed' sign on the entrance to the ship. I already did my best to snuff out the Krogans in ME3 and now I'm going to be stuck with another one.  <_<

1) A Batarian who I can choose not to trust and flush out an airlock.
2) A funny human scientist who is allergic to citrus.
3) A smart mouth female pilot.
4) Overall a unusually young and virile team that is focused on making babies.
