Considering certain two humans, and highly likely a krogan, I'd like a female turian and asari, and a male quarian and salarian. Though we don't know If all the races will be in, or if They won't add companions from new races.

not so fast. If you don't do or fail Samara's LM and she doesn't shoot herself, Morinth doesn't show up as a banshee and the ending slide is rather ambiguous

Hmm. That's an interesting (and plausible) theory.

But that still elimate's her as a companion based on that only a small number of people actually did that

Now, we've already got 2 female spies/agents. (Miranda/Leliana). I say let's get a male one this time around. We already know quite a lot about the Alliance military/N7/specters/... , but what about the intelligence agencies? I'd love to have more lore on ME espionage.
2) Turian Cabal
IRC quite a lot of people in the MEU don't trust biotics. Some even think that it's unnatural. But we, as Cdr.Shepard, never saw that. ( Obviously nobody would say something about the Normandy Crew or Shepard him/herself )
If we don't start out as a famous person, this would enable us to see the common folk reacting to biotics.

Top five:
1. a female Turian
2. new species with teleportation or shapeshifting powers
3. scorpion or tarantula-inspired species--something a bit more anthropomorphic than the Rachni
4. a male Krogan
5. Javik

if they were just using majority rules to decide things in the trilogy than they would simply have canonized the destroy ending.
not that I actually expect everyone's favourite space vampire to make an apperance or even be mentioned. Just continuing the joke.

Going by the leak it looks like we're getting a male krogan called Drack and a female human/asari called Cora. So lets say there are 7 slots, I'd like;
1. Drack
2. Cora as an asari
3. A male salarian that isn't a nerd or a scientist but more of a rocket racoon personality
4. A male or female turian that is an example of a "good" turian
5. New alien race
6. A human male that is interesting please! Lets stop making them boring.
7. A human female
If there's room a male quarian would be great , even if he's just a engineer on-board rather than a squad mate.

The obligatory (boring) human male
Human female (Cora?)
Turian female
Batarian
Krogan
Asari commando (matron stage)
Salarian STG
Maybe some new race
I'm tired of quarians and geth. Having a Volus/Hanar/Elcor as a supporting shipbound crew member would be great. But as a squad member? Very unlikely, I think.

Female human, Vanguard, contradicting her choice of class she would be a quiet shy artsy type. Mid to late twenties.
Male human Infiltrator, A rugged veteran of the galaxies underworld just looking for a pay day. Late thirties to mid forties.
Male Krogan Adapt, A young idealistic Krogan who was born an unnaturally powerful biotic which caused his clan to shelter him away. This gave him insatiable wanderlust causing him to run away searching for an adventure 20-50 years old. Due to how young he is he is quite childlike, imagin a less violent Grunt.
Female Asari Sentinel, with a bit of a masculine personality. A bit of a black sheep who focused more on tech than biotics perfers to hang out with the ships mechanic and help out. 400/500 years old
Male Salarian Engineer, a representative Salarian interests. A by the book kind of guy who prefers to keep to him self and reluctant to interact with the crew. 15 years old.
Female Quarian/Geth Cyborg Soldier. Due to the Quarian Geth union we get to see our first suit-less Quarian squaddie, however she equips a suit for battles. A bit of a renegade who prefers the sword over the pen so to speak. 30-40 years old.

If all the leak details are legit I'm guessing Cora will be human rather than Asari. I say that only because in the teaser the N7 guy was fighting alongside a Krogan and a woman. You can see a human skin tone through the woman's visor, ruling out an Asari. I wonder if N7 guy's companions in that teaser might have been Drack and Cora.

Yes! I don't believe in god, but he should forbid it!We're getting another krogan, I'd put my money on them pushing another pinnochio story, and yeah asari is pretty much a given because god forbid we don't have a gratuitious blue spacebabe even though they have already been represented better than anyone else. Turian female or quarian male would be much better than any of those IMO.especially if I can collect the latter's bodily fluids.
There is no problem with Asaries babies!

Not technically about squaddies, but kinda relevant:
Forgot to say in my last post, but I definitely also want to see more non-human crew members. Quarian engineer, Drell doctor, Batarian pilot; something like that. Having an all human crew like last time would be too similar to the trilogy.

What about new Andromeda races for companions?
I have a feeling that old ME races won't really be in the majority in this game but that the game will focus more on introducing new civilisations rather than have us deal with a planet full of Krogans again for example. The major issues those races had were resolved in ME3 anyway (Krogan and Salarians, Quarians and Geth).

I wonder if any of the bird aliens or whatever that were discovered in Mass Effect 3, but bailed out of joining the Citadel races because of the Reapers will be in the game.

We already have a confirmed Asari Biotic (1) and a Krogan (2), so I'd also like to see...
(4) Andromaedan Squadmate
Yes, I definitely want an Andromeda native to join us! T'would be an invaluable source of info, no? ![]()
That's- not the only thing getting stretched when you romance an entire military force.
Ahahahaha, you're terrible! ![]()
SpoilerA new alien species would be good for the ship, but they don't necessarily have to be on the ground team. Could just be an ambassador or something who's on the ship for a while, like Eve/Bakara or Raan. I wouldn't mind an AI for the ship, but it should remain ship-bound, not a squadmate. More interesting perspective, and more useful.
I agree, it'd be interesting to see how they present a quarian squadmate. If peace between the geth and quarians was achieved, the geth helped strengthen their immune systems. However, ME:A is set well ahead of the events of the trilogy, so maybe they've found another way to bolster them. Either way, I think having a quarian squadmate that can be around other species without his/her helmet on would be awesome!
Spoiler
Wow, you know your Mass Effect stuff
I especially like the batarian.
Soo... I guess I would like to see:
1. A quarian who can function without his/her suit and/or a crapload of antibiotics
2. A female drell
3. A volus as our.... ambassador? diplomat? negotiator? Not sure what type of title to give the job, but someone who manages dealings with any factions we may come across (definitely not a squadmate). While we will without a doubt encounter hostile entities, maybe we'll run into others who will be sympathetic to our cause (or whatever the hell we're doing in Andromeda). He/she'll negotiate dealings for alliances, resources, etc. I'm thinking a mix between Varric from DA and Tyrion from GoT. "Why fight when you can negotiate" would be his/her persona I guess. Incredibly knowledgeable, quick to point out foolish errors, and opposes brutish tactics.
4. A native to Andromeda
5. A batarian mercenary. Chain-smoker, drinks, and you always find him in the bar and/or hangin' with the rest of the crew. He agreed to the mission because of the ridiculous amount of creds he's getting paid to do it (assuming they're getting paid). He's an exceptionally skilled infiltrator who excels at adapting to the situation and using the enemies' weaknesses against them. He's incredibly sarcastic, has a dark sense of humor, and is quick to call people out on their bullshit. Ah who am I kidding; I just want Bronn in Mass Effect.

Wow, this thread has been fun to come home to after work. I got to read some really comprehensive wish lists for companions. I didn't expect to find so many people who are as enthusiastic about speculating as I am.
I'm all about the space cowboyish squad member. Malcolm Reynolds for ME companion, please.
Hi
First of all can u rename the topic, Companion instead of Squad members, so we can talk about companion suche as Diana Allers, Doctor Charkwass, Traynor and such. Plus Inquisition offer more with Josephine, Leliana, Cullen.
