I don't know about that, think it'd be more like...

Asari: Yeah it was awful; so glad I survived.

Krogan: Word.

I mean how many perspectives on "banded together to save the galaxy" can you have xD

Simple. You have the krogan perspective of how awesome it was and you have the asari perspective on how horrible it was. Or be cute and subvert expectations and flip that around.

You have one focus on the grand, epic battles, the explosions, the riding cloned alien dinosaurs into battle - which I am still bitter about them not actually showing, by the way. Then you have the other one focus on the sheer horror of it, the ashes of the dead, the banshee wails, the hopelessness.

Well, there could be tension towards her since its kind of all the Asari's fault, and you could be like "Yeah screw you Asari!"
Or like
"It was her government not her. Racist."

But I think the reaper was is not over when they leave. If it takes place in the future, I'll blame either cryogenic sleep or say during the tutorial, we see the mass relays explode implying whatever ending you just chose happened. But I don't think it will say our character was born after the reaper war.

Does anyone have any hopes or hunches about the casting? I always want more Jo Wyatt or Nicholas Boulton.

I thought Javik was a little like an empath with his touch-and-learn ability. I liked the fact that he could sense things about people who used to be on the ship, and kept having to wash his hands because he was getting a sensory overload. Perhaps less like empathy and more like sensing someone's state of being? I'd be interested in a real empath though!

Would something like DAI's Cole work for you as an empath, or would that be a bit much? He was rather socially inept too.  :P

Javik was very like one, definitely. It was my favorite part about him. I felt like he contrasted really starkly with Liara's style of "empathy."

I like Cole, but I don't want a repeat of him. There are some types of characters that I don't really get tired of. I don't think Cole would be one of those.

Same for his story arc. I was so conflicted about what decision I should make that it eventually made me feel apathetic about it. I don't want too many stories where both of your options have so many pros and cons that you might as well just flip a coin.

I kind of want a sexy empath.

Right now, I'm just hoping for a confirmation of whether or not the PC is with a military organization. DA2 was my favorite squad dynamic, partially because we weren't really military.

If N7 is involved in the plot, how involved? That kind of thing.

I think what I also need is for Cora to not be a human female or an Asari, even tho she likely will be.

And how badass would it be if Drack was a female krogan..

I would love to see a Drell male engineer who could be from one of the hub main world's in Andromeda, and he could be a good source of information on society (if there is any established government)

Drells have the amazing memory and seeing that the species was really underutilized it would be nice to have a character like that. Maybe he could be agnostic and sarcastic, something different than what we saw in Thane, Kolyat, and Feron.

I agree so much. But personally I really don't care what class he would be, as long as we just get one. I just want a male Drell, any Drell and one who doesn't die in the end.

How would you feel of Cora was a biotic Drell lady romancable for male or female player?

No, just no. I'm a female player and I have zero desire to romance a female character... ever. If there's going to be a Drell, dear god let it be a male.

Not talking about classes or roles, I'd like to see the same races we saw before, as long as they are charismatic.

A Drell again this time would be really nice, a Krogan, a Turian (I can't help it, Garrus and Wrex are one of my favorites). And also a Batarian, yes. Maybe so people could stop being so racist about them? showing that not all Batarians are filthy pirates? That is, if they actually did survived the reapers at the end of ME3, which I hope is the case.

Also, some new race could be totally possible I guess.

Hmm nothing super specif in mind but I would like to see

Krogan (preferably male but will happily take a female one)

Female Turian

AI (something closer to looking like Legion rather than looking like Edi, unless it was something like before Edi got a body then that would be totally fine with me)

Thats all I got at the moment.

I definitely want a brand new crew and companions. No familiar faces, no familiar names. I don't want Wrex's kid on my ship, I don't want a Drell whose ancestor was Kolyat Krios. I don't want Quarians, I don't want Geth. Geth were ruined in ME3 and Quarians ... well... let's just let this issue rest.

The are only two Asari I like. One is Aethyta because Krogan father, humour and being not a typical Asari. The other one is Aria. She is so awesome, I made a renegade female Shepard just for the Omega DLC. And after the kiss, back on the Citadel... I got drunk so I woke up sleeping next to Aria on the couch. I wonder if she thinks of Shepard as her pet now? ;)

Mordin was the only Salarian I liked.

Most Krogan are annoying brutes.

I expect at least two human companions, male and female. I am hoping for an attractive, intelligent, non-bigot, badass woman, perhaps a biotic. A little less chaotic than Jack, but with attitude. Not a stereotype like Ashley. And as long as the male isn't as boring as Kaidan, then I'm good. Perhaps some kind of scoundrel?

A Turian female would rock.

A Krogan who's into science, books and other nerd stuff.

Two companions from species native to Andromeda. Maybe something insectoid? Or a large bird?

I wouldn't want more than 6 companions, I don't want to spend half my time outfitting them.

They can put the obligatory Asari and Salarian on the crew of the ship, I don't really need them in my squad.

There will be a hot but somewhat preachy bisexual white guy voiced by Raphael Sbarge or a similar VA. He is the default male LI.

There will be a very very hot girl as the default female LI to make straight dudes stop raging about Cassandra.

There will be a token "drinking buddy" squadmate (In Dragon Age this is any Dwarf, in ME this is Garrus, In Jade Empire this is Black Whirlwind. Anyone whose played Baldur's Gate feel free to jump in here) Except this time they will be FEMALE

There will be someone deeply connected to whatever culture they come from, and they must make a moral choice, influenced by the player of course, of whether or not to turn their back on their roots.

There will be someone who rebels against whatever culture they come from. They will try to take revenge on their roots and the player can either help them or stop them.

There will be a hot female of a new and exotic species.

There will be an ugly male of a new and exotic species, he will be that weird LI that randomly has hundreds of fangirls on BSN

There will be an extremely badass man, he will be gay. And ugly.

There will be an extremely hot girl, she will be lesbian

And yes, there will be Morinth. I am developing this game, I know.

Hey, how about playing against type, but only not too extreme?

A Turian who is a coward and left the military as AWOL (an engineer, Adept or Sentinel to not have any part of the "soldier" trees)

An Asari Soldier, no biotics, she left and is our team hothead, I have seen the Biotic angle of being in a mundane world but prefer the story of a Mundane in a Biotic world.

A Krogan who is careful of their words, the still waters run deep type. Has anger and fury but tries to keep it down and mostly regulated. Our Voice of Reason, except on a few things that are rage buttons. Prefer if they were one of the "engineer" trees (Engineer, Sentinel, Infiltrator)

A new Alien who does not know their culture. Maybe someone raised by a different group or from a group of aliens who have been divorced from it over the years. Instead of being a walking codex, we are discovering it with them, good and bad. They are impelled by curiosity rather than wanting to live it out. (really any part but I like Adept for thematic reasons.)

A female Human that is a lifelong fringer. Been on the edges of the galaxy for a while. While she has mental motivations, she has survival skills and physical abilities that she hones for the same reason. More for wanderlust than an actual bookish mind. Your guide. (Probably an infiltrator)

A Male human that until recently, was your commander, but he is not bitter towards you about it so much as command. He may take a rap for you in the beginning instead of the requisite dead teammate. He has several missions together and will be the ease into transition for the early part of the game. (a Vanguard perhaps?)

What do you guys think?

I would love a prothean companion. A male prothean, a female prothean, a baby prothean. Any type of prothean will do (I love Javik).

I think we will get a 'joke' companion like a volus or a hanar or something.

I would also like player sexual companions they can keep their sexual preferences to add character but there shouldn't be gender specific romances.

Hopefully companion design does not carry over from Inquisition. I want grounded companions not companions that are designed to provoke a reaction like Sera, Vivienne or Iron bull.

Regardless, ME had already characters that can provoke a 'reaction', whatever that is. If You post Sera and Vivienne, I could say Javik or Jack.

Not much of a stretch, not everyone has to be Garrus after all. But why would you need a coward in your ground team?

What Boost said.

Plausible enough, krogans seem to calm down with age. But young krogans with their blood lust + hormones cocktail put all efforts into acting sane, not speaking about being calm.

Uhm, what's the "fringer"? Anyway I believe Pathfinder should have enough survival and search skills on his own, why would he need a guide?

No Javik was prothean he had good reason for provoking a reaction and jack was a criminal with obvious mental issues.

Sera may not have mental issues but she is erratic and is somehow a leader in a secret far reaching organisation. Vivenne hates a group in this game for reasons she could hate almost any group in the game and has manged to climb to the the top levels of that group and is also freer than most of them. Both of them and there stories make no sense, unless that was their purpose.

Ironbull is almost the polar opposite of most Qunari we have met in the Dragon Age series. Does it really shock you that he was made this way on purpose? He doesn't really add anything to the story he is almost pointless. I like him though but would have preferred Sten.

Liara was the most romanced char in Mass Effect trilogy and the most used char in ME3, while BSN might like to complaining about her, its not a widespread hate.

'Good reason for provoking a reaction' is subjective. I don't see any differences about those characters, and I their stories make sense.
Why on Earth Vivienne's position or story makes no sense? It was established long before DAI that mages don't all have the same views. Vivienne's views completely fit the lore we know.
Iron Bull isn't different From Javik. They were created with the same view: being Not What people expect (Though Bull's being different is explained). You should recall nobody expected the Protheans To be like Javik stated. His portrayals and his info were unexpected. Also, he basically Adds nothing to ME3's story. Though I Don't see Why companions 'have' to add something.
I prefer Sten over Bull. It doesn't mean I want his Carbon copy.

No hunches, but Laura Bailey as one of the companion characters would be great. She could be good casting for either a human or an Asari.

He has never done voice work for a video game as far as I know, but Stephen Lang as a tough as nails Alliance Staff NCO lifer would be god tier casting.
