Hey, I'm looking to make some giant lizards and seem to recall someone making some wingless dragons. I did a search on the vault but came up empty handed. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Lizards have sprawling limbs that stick out to the side, and a gait that swings their bodies from side to side as they walk/run. The existing dragons have upright limbs like a bird or mammal, and walk accordingly. As such they'd make terrible lizards (and by that I don't mean they'd make good dinosaurs; the word dinosaur literally meaning 'terrible lizard').

If you'd rather fly in the face of biology, then there are wing-optional dragons in the works here. There's also a brown dragon model that was thrown together by some fool in a slapdash fashion.

I've wondered if the models for the snakes that are out there might not get legs stuck on them and kindasorta achieve the effect (as a sort of kludge).

Hey Dann,

I like yer slapdash dragon. I think that with a little scaling and squishing it will make a fine "magical" subterranean lizard.

(It's magical because it flies in the face of biology) :)

I've got an animations set that would fit perfectly. All I need to do is create the body around the skeleton. As I'm about 90% done for the dragons, and 75% for the octopus, I'd rather complete them first though.

There is a giant lizard model available for NWN. Not sure if that is any help though, 'cause the texturing is a bit odd.

Looks like a basilisk retexture.

Possibly. The  NWN/NWN2 basilisk models have more than four legs though.
