You can't win and its already an issue and all thats out is a teaser.  The SP will always be a pain.  Go with the universally loved MP and just dump whatever is left over in SP.  ME3 was good...DAMP is garbage and a step back.  Get the train back on the tracks and lets go!

 

If that's what they want to do, they will.  FA4 is coming out and I have all of my original stash of BioWare Games from BG to DAI and even TOR which I play as single player when I play it, along with a some other single player games I still enjoy.  I'll just replay them on my pc; 360 or xbone.  

 

But I don't expect them to do it.  Hopeing for another great game with great story, characters and dialogue.  Some things I'll love, some I won't.    

 

There are plenty of boring mmo/mp games out there (if one does not enjoy playing them, they are boring) and just a few SP games that are worth buying.  And as much as I, yes hated, ME3's endings, I loved the game and series enough to pick it up on the pc and add the player made mod to it so I can die or live having killed the reapers which is what many of us expected.  

 

So I guess I'll wait and see what they do, read the boards and put in comments.

Well...all I ask is that multiplayer not be a requirement for the campaign...really bugged the crap out of me that I had to get my readiness up to get the "best possible ending."...If that can be done then I along with other I suppose will be happy campers.

Really depends on what you consider best ending. You really didn't need it to win the game.
I'm all fine with bonuses being given to people playing Multiplayer. Why not? it's not subtracting from anyone elses experience unless they want the same experience for free.

Because you CHOOSE to click on it?  Just like you want a MP sub forum so you have this place all to yourself because you say so and MP gamers have no place here? 

 

This thread irritates you because it is true.  Once Bioware sees this and diverts 3/4 or more of all resources to MP the game will be much better.  Also it will still be the same. The MP gamers will love and appreciate the the game and your crew will still rage.  It's the right thing for the devs to do IMO.

It's quite complicated, really. I certainly enjoyed the game right until the finale, even though the game definitely had its issues, like the fact that it's completely linear. But the ending...

 

I'd heard it was bad, of course, but I don't judge things based on hearsay, so I approached it completely open-minded. Let's just say I wasn't prepared for the horrible travesty of an ending it turned out to be.

 

Anyway, when the credits rolled, I was just emotionally drained. Empty. After finishing ME2 I immediately started a new playthough. After ME3 I couldn't even imagine doing that. I simply lost all interest in the SP campaign, and it took months before I could even entertain the idea of playing through it again - yet to this day I haven't finished another run. At some point I always lose interest because of the constant feeling that there's just no point.

 

So yeah, I liked most of my time with the SP campaign, but on the whole? It was a huge disappointment. I've finished ME1 numerous times, ME2 twice as many and ME3 once. That says something.

Same for me. I said **** this game after playing completing the campaign. I had a friend that played multiplayer with me which is the only reason I stuck around.

SP gamers are fine. SP gamers that spend more time discussing their in game romance options than their RL romance options, well that's just a different kind of people.

No, you don't need it to complete the game, but frankly, having any story content gated behind multiplayer is sh**. I thought it was good of BioWare to correct this with the Extended Cut, and ensuring that Inquisition's multiplayer had no effect on singleplayer, save for some extra NPC's standing around Skyhold. No one is getting any experience for free, because we all presumably had to pay the same money for the game. Multiplayer isn't work put in; it's just another component of the game that many players enjoy, and to top it off, multiplayer is completely unfettered by the singleplayer campaign. You don't have to even create a character and start the story to jump in. So this is clearly one-sided. What if certain characters you can unlock in MP were only accessible by completing certain stages of the story? Like, you cannot play a geth of any sort until you completed Rannoch. I'm sure people would complain, but it would be the same as them trying to get the "same experience for free", no?
