more like a human (MP Master Race) using a laser pointer to make a stupid cat (SP peasants) angrily crash face first into walls over and over again.
That is quite possibly the best analogy I've seen for this entire situation.

SP is all drama. Just put something out and focus on the MP Bioware.
This.

Yeah, I was laughing pretty hard at that one.
I had something like this in my mind, but I didn't know how many people would get the reference
Either way that one was superior to mine so I just enjoyed the post. I just hope with all of that kind of talk Bioware still sees the value in the OP and sees that it is true.
Bioware will never ever listen to you OP. They know where their bread and butter is. In the end you will lose and we will win.

Who are the "you"? Who are the "we"? What will be lost? What will be won?
ESPECULAT...OPS, ANDRAMADA FOR EVERYONE!

You can only try to fill someone in on the joke so many times before you just shake your head and accept that they deserve what's happening.

They will listen to facts and reason before they listen to whiners that need therapy threads. MP is where the money is and where most gamers want to be these days. EA are the owners and that is what they care about. $$$ If you think the mere introduction of MP into the series was as far as it was going to go? That's cute. Now back to reality. Lets start beefing up the MP and trim that fat on the SP. More man hours, more money, and the top people in their fields as well as the talented up and comers focused on MP development.
You can keep wishing if you want though. MP 4 lyfe.
While this is probably a joke, I think it's been established that there is no fat trimming of either component that ends up favoring one or the other. The only way to get a bigger multiplayer would be for the game to just go straight MMO and be done with the singleplayer entirely, but that would also be akin to burning down a kitten orphanage and you can kiss the franchise goodbye. They will listen to facts and reason before they listen to whiners that need therapy threads. Although, strict MP players would finally see paid DLC's, like Destiny's overpriced crap.
When I say bigger I mean more weapons and attachments. A LOT more abilities and customizable ones where the characters in MP have 6-7-8-9 abilites a piece to really give them versatility as well as the game having more depth. You might be able to only equip 3 abilities, but that doesn't mean that you don't add variety to them. Passives that you can earn. More maps. More game modes. That is a "bigger" MP. I don't mean "bigger" as in go MMO. Not at all. I would hate that as would many other fans. Bigger = more content and higher quality not literally larger in surface area and the amount of players in a room.....

Wouldn't that nerf the value of unlocking different kits?
I don't think it would at all. There is also no limit to the amount of abilities they can offer to make each character have its own "flavor" Each character can and should have a few great abilities that are exclusive to them. MP should not be tied down by the blandness of SP. They can really reach for the stars and have some amazing abilities you don't see in SP just like the MP in ME3 did.
Bioware will be happy to sell you MP DLCs after launch anyways. There was an article in the thread that went into firther detail about this MP-SP divide. The MP part won´t get more money if Bioware would be dumb enough to gut their existing SP RPG franchise with an already established customer base

While money is important there are a lot of other aspects that make a good game a good game. Also despite what some article said there is no "law" of that and exceptions can be made.
It's gonna be funny with expectations being ME3MP 2 and we get DAMP in space. The tears will be delicious.

ME is an established franchise with an existing consumer base. They took out the requirement to play multiplayer to get to the best possible ending. The market niche of the franchise is not multiplayer. That´s a different market segment with other competitors. And I don´t think they would be crazy enough to try a complete overhaul and new direction with this particular franchise, unless they think the franchise is screwed anyways. In that case I somehow doubt that EA would allocate many resources.

Don't look now, but this is the exact same thing people said before ME3 and before MP was put into the game to say it would never be in a ME game.....yet here we are.
why are you so worried about other people's jimmies? Are you one of those people that always has to get psysically close to someone and know every intricate detail about people the first time you meet them?
Can we get some stuff to refreeze this weirdo. I feel like everyone needs to check their drink cups now. It's always those ones that seem calm and just a little "off" and then BAM! They get you! He's even best friends with Bigfoot.

It occurs to me that this doesn't actually matter too much. Let's assume Bio does go this route. Then Bio fires most of the SP talent, they go to other devs, and the games get made anyway. Maybe with production values circa 2008, but so what?
While this would prove that MP really does ruin franchises, and Bio wouldn't exist long if it happened, Idon't feel particularly threatened by this outcome. Until ME:A ships and doesn't suck I have nothing much at stake with this franchise.
What would be funny would be if they did this and Andromeda was more successful than Mass Effect 1-3 was.

Financially successful, that I could see. Critically though? Naw. As much as I love MP, without the narrative of the SP it wouldn't work.
