SP is all drama. Just put something out and focus on the MP Bioware.

The list might be long and I might miss a few names here, but I just wanted to throw a few names out and let them know we miss them.  Perhaps they have now joined the SP Therapy Thread to never return, but here in this thread we will not forget them or their great additions.

Heres to you, you glorious and dedicated baddies.

In Exile - who put himself in Exile.

Kotor Effect - Who tried to fight fire with fire and got burned.

Alan C9 -  Great SP knowledge minimal MP skillz.

KaiserShep -  Saw the light, but turned away from it.

Heathen Oxman - An abomination to Qunari

Wolfryck - His 2 posts that had possibly the most amount of salt in the thread.

Special Mentions

Tali's Sweat - came on strong and held it down for MP community.

My other account is banned - He went out doing what he loved

Gone but not forgotten :crying:

and anyone else I forgot.  Fun times.

That does it.

My husband is going to find all the MP people and kick their a$$es IRL.

Good thing I didn't say that then. I've played through the singleplayer but obviously am not gullible. People who refuse to play multiplayer simply because it is multiplayer while lapping up terrible SP games are gullible.

Define terrible.

Given that MP is all combat, the quality of MP would be determined primarily by its combat.

Judging SP by this same standard (which you may or may not be doing) seems foolish, given that there's much more to the SP game, and many other reasons to play it. Someone might really enjoy a SP roleplaying game even if that game didn't have combat at all.

Or people who have more money than time.

This is exactly right. The point you were rebutting displayed a shocking ignorance of opportunity costs. Someone needs to study more economics.

I wasn't referring to microtransactions anyway, but the fact that MP games dominate the market in terms of overall sales because they're better.

They're more popular. Whether they're better is a different issue.

Yes, the SP babbies need lots of crappy enemies that they can actually defeat. The hordes are arguably even larger, they are just composed almost entirely of shitty mooks that the baddies can kill with a mean look even on Insanity. They all craied about the double banshees and a few Marauders rekting their crappy Shepards at the end of ME3 even tho that's like w5 gold to MP gods.

It's not about difficulty. It's about combat, and how that's all there is to do in MP.

None of the combat in any of the SP ME games is difficult, because the mechanics don't challenge the player (as they shouldn't in a roleplaying game). You're making an apples to oranges comparison.

Singleplayer is for the weak and the timid, unless you are playing the boss fight against me on elite difficulty.

I'd rather have a fully fleshed out SP and MP. I don't want them skimping on either feature.  I love SP, but I've really enjoyed ME3 MP.

You can't win and its already an issue and all thats out is a teaser.  The SP will always be a pain.  Go with the universally loved MP and just dump whatever is left over in SP.  ME3 was good...DAMP is garbage and a step back.  Get the train back on the tracks and lets go!

MP players suffer from short attention span (among other things) IMO. SP is the way all games are meant to be played.

The largest and currently most active section of the ME3 forums is the MP section. Your opinion is clearly ill informed.

All games? I'll go play my older Battlefields' or MAG's nonexistent singleplayer modes then.  You are aware that essentially the first widely accessible video game to the masses, the one that essentially established the medium as a viable entertainment form, Pong, was multiplayer right? You scrubs practically owe your existence to the desire of glorious MP warriors to challenge each other to contests of intelligence, wit and skill.

I resent that. I actually have zero MP skillz. I've never fired up ME3 MP, or DAI MP, or NWN MP, or SMAC MP, or.... well, you get the drift.

I actually have played SMAC MP. Over a LAN (back when that was an option).

I love MP, but I'd be hesitant to buy it it if it was like Destiny. That game had already given me the issue where by best friend is on one console, but my friends list is on another.

I wish you would give ME3MP a chance, it's honestly nothing but stupid fun. It also makes you a better SP player, because you see the strategies that are in-built in the SP work in real live time. I knew nothing about tech bursts, fire explosions, if I played a biotic, biotic explosions, until I played MP. The reason many people thought ME3 was easy isn't because it was, we just learned the game.

So it draws attention to how shoddy the game's documentation is.

That's fun for you?

When I said stupid, I meant low pressure, high reward. The difficulty is higher, but the stakes are lower. It is fun, though.
As far as documentation goes, there is a huge difference in reading code and seeing it. I fully immerse myself in the numbers, but actually seeing them work is different. I was better able to see them, and the MP team made them way more transparent, with weekly updates.

Bioware really needs to tune up insanity closer to a gold/platinum MP level or introduce a new difficulty above insanity, it was a joke last time around to any remotely decent gamer.

Drop the zero and get with a pure MP beast.  You're missing out and doing yourself a disservice.  You'd love me.

Meet me in Firebase Ghost.  I'm the stud in the back room with a lancer, hockey mask, and cain mines all around me.  Treat yourself.  BTW Gold or Plat only.

you are in the minority though.  most of the baddies will pre order day one full price.  This is why BIoware can ignore them and do the right thing.  They are going to buy it anyways so forget them. They have no standards.

For as much as I consider the MP folks to be more rational folks that put focus on actual gameplay in a video game, doing that is just going to burn bridges and destroy fairly established fan bases for future releases beyond ME:A.

Everything you do in the game is gameplay. Exploration is gameolay. Dialogue is gameplay. Inventory management is gameplay.

What you mean is combat. And some of us just don't enjoy the combat. Combat is a tedious obstacle in our way to find more roleplaying content.

It's not just a game. It's a roleplaying game. In all computer games I play, I roleplay nearly all the time. I roleplay in sports games. I roleplay in racing games. I roleplay in strategy games. But most of all, I roleplay in roleplaying games.

I enjoy ME3's combat, but I enjoy it more when I actually care about why I'm engaging in it. Like, I'm not the biggest fan of Dragon Age: Origins' combat, but I love those moments where I get to finally confront a rotten bastard that I've been itching to kill for a while. But I guess this is sort of the problem with ME3. Everything is either monsters or augmented thralls. There are hardly any characters. The CAT6 mercs were technically the same thing, mechanically speaking, but there were instances where you got the idea that these were guys hired to do a job and chatted amongst themselves, which made killing them much more entertaining.

That being said, I'd like ME:A to offer missions that allow us to potentially resolve a situation without firing a shot.
