No thanks pal but I play BW games for SP. If you want a generic sci-fi shooter with no plot and full online gaming there is Destiny for that.
I understand that Destiny is a great game for those that don't like too much story elements and prefer the grindy MP playstyle.
It has nothing to do with preference of one over the other.
Bioware hasn't managed to deliver a great single-player RPG since ME2. DA2 was a disappoitment. ME3 was a disappoitment. DA:I was a disappoitment.
ME3 MP was great. The fact that it pure TPS instead of RPG has nothing to do with the issue.
That's all there is to it. That's why I have higher hopes for MEAMP than MEASP.

Have played, I still prefer ME3MP over it, gunplay and it being cover based TPS makes it an entirely different thing compared to destiny.
Begging won't help you - we are more.
Well that's certainly a bold statement.
Yeah, no one plays Bioware games for the story or an immersive single player experience.
More running and gunning. More Mountain Dew. More Doritos.
This...
I absolutely wouldn't have believed it a few years ago, but I'll be getting MEA primarily for MP. I'll certainly play SP and I hope it'll end up being great, but after ME3, I'm not expecting much.
U did nt like me3 sp ?
I did, lots of flaws but a great mean line imo. Its main problem for me was MP being so good i did nt want to play it more

It's quite complicated, really. I certainly enjoyed the game right until the finale, even though the game definitely had its issues, like the fact that it's completely linear. But the ending...
I'd heard it was bad, of course, but I don't judge things based on hearsay, so I approached it completely open-minded. Let's just say I wasn't prepared for the horrible travesty of an ending it turned out to be.
Anyway, when the credits rolled, I was just emotionally drained. Empty. After finishing ME2 I immediately started a new playthough. After ME3 I couldn't even imagine doing that. I simply lost all interest in the SP campaign, and it took months before I could even entertain the idea of playing through it again - yet to this day I haven't finished another run. At some point I always lose interest because of the constant feeling that there's just no point.
So yeah, I liked most of my time with the SP campaign, but on the whole? It was a huge disappointment. I've finished ME1 numerous times, ME2 twice as many and ME3 once. That says something.
I don't think that Bioware is about to forget the backlash after ME3's ending any time soon.
The story may suck, or it may be great, but it probably won't have a ME3 style ending.
Transforming ME into a MP only game is not on Bioware's agenda, and will transform ME into just one more MP Sci-Fi Shooter.
I liked the MP, but I don't want to see it replacing SP.

His name......was Marauder Shields.
As far as this thread goes I would just like to say.....you can call me a troll if you want, but that doesn't make the thread any less true.

At no point have I actually tried - or wanted - to defend the premise of this thread, just what I originally said in this thread:

So no, I don't consider you a troll. That long rant about the ending was my reply to Alfonsedode specifically (he's a friend from the MP section, that's why I went through the effort of writing as elaborately as I did).
You can't win and its already an issue and all thats out is a teaser. The SP will always be a pain. Go with the universally loved MP and just dump whatever is left over in SP. ME3 was good...DAMP is garbage and a step back. Get the train back on the tracks and lets go!
"Universally loved by niche playerbase" you mean.
And it's not universally loved. I for one can't play for more than a few hours before I find it to become lethargic and need to not play it for at least a month. To me it's just very, very barebones and not enough to warrant an entire game's focus like you suggest.
If NME moves focus to MP it better have PvP first and foremost or it's not gonna be a hit.

Guess what? Pretty much everything you posted is subjective. There are plenty of people here who hold different opinions about the quality of Bioware's singleplayer in the past few titles.
Of course it's subjective. But there are a lot of people who feel like I do, and for us what I wrote (or something close enough) is the reason we prefer ME3MP to ME3SP or expect more from MEAMP than MEASP. The reason is absolutely not that we "don't like too much story elements and prefer the grindy MP playstyle".
Did you even read what I was replying to?

It suddenly struck me: Why can't we have BOTH?

yeah sorry about that second part of my post. I meant it as a thread wide response. Not to you. I wasn't very clear about that.
I quoted you for the Maurader "Heath" comment ![]()
Go home, you're drunk!
It's still time to repent.
Hey if they can make the MP more fun, more varied, more of something I'd want to sink time into, I'm all for them trying again.
The first time I just couldn't stick with it as it was too barren and not varied enough for me.
Still, single player should and always will have priority.

If they just forget about the SP and give it little effort then the MP would not be barren and would be greatly varied.
I think the vast majority of MP gamers were more than happy with ME3 MP and it was an excellent starting point for them. I don't think you could say the same for people who played the SP of ME3. Especially going by the threads and posts on this forum. I'm no saying forget the SP or anything like that....I'm just saying focus resources on what is important and what gives the players (as a whole) more enjoyment.

It's all good. I'm having too much fun playing the MP to be getting all bitter over facts.
If it makes her feel better over the ME3 SP rage then its all good. I will play that role. While I don't eat a lot of Doritos, I would drink Mountain Dew EXCLUSIVELY if it wasn't for Brominated vegetable oil (which is banned in Europe and Japan) I love that stuff and miss it.
